2 KRAGEN FÜR EIN KLEIDUNGSSTÜCK EP80900023.5 1979-12-18 EP0020676B1 1984-04-18 BÄCHTIGER, Urs
In a piece formed of an outer face of the collar (15) and of an inserted part (1) a flexion area is formed having two pleats (I, II); these two pleats are joined together by seams (16, 17). The formation of these pleats is readily achieved by the presence of the inserted portion (1); in the flexion area, the inserted portion (1) which is generally stuck to the outer face of the collar (15) has non-reinforced bands (6, 7) in the area of the pleats (I, II) and a band for the flexion. The bands (6, 8) may also be replaced by incisions or perforations. The piece thus formed may be sewn, turned over and quilted with the lower part of the collar (20) as a one-piece collar. Despite the appearance of higher labour and material cost with the respect to a one-piece collar, the two-piece collar is a label of quality for the garment.

5 Collar Shaping Device US14700513 2015-04-30 US20150313289A1 2015-11-05 Jeffrey Todd Lester
An apparatus for shaping a collar is provided. The collar shaping device includes a U-shaped, semi-rigid element having a first end and a second end adapted for surrounding a shirt collar. The semi-rigid element is coextensive with the shirt collar and includes a gap between the first end and the second end. The first end and the second end curve inwardly and downwardly to match the contours of a shirt collar. A middle portion of the semi-rigid element is integrally formed between the first end and the second end and is adapted to rest against the back of a user's neck. The collar shaping device is fitted in the cavity under a shirt collar and supports and reshapes a shirt collar.

7 Apparel With Raised Course Crease US12122443 2008-05-16 US20090282604A1 2009-11-19 Monica Litt; Derek A. Costarella
An article of apparel may include a textile element that defines a crease. The textile element may be knitted to have a first course and a second course that are adjacent to each other in some areas of the textile element and spaced from each other by a raised course in other areas of the textile element. The crease extends along the third course and has a length that is substantially equal to a length of the third course. In manufacturing the textile element, the raised course may be formed between portions of the first course and the second course through a knitting process, such as a flat knitting process.
8 Collar for an article of clothing US200502 1980-08-22 US4375107A 1983-03-01 Urs Bachtiger
A turn-over area having two folds is formed in a part constituted by a collar outside and an insert and is held together by seams. Fold formation is facilitated by making the insert in the turn-over area in which the strip, which is usually adhered to the collar outside has unstiffened strips in the area of the folds and another strip for the turn-over area. The first-mentioned strips can be replaced by cuts or perforations. The portion formed in this way can be pre-sewn, turned and stitched to the collar underside, in the same way as a one-piece collar. Despite the fact that the working and material expenditure is only a little greater than in a one-piece collar, the appearance is that of a two-piece collar, which is taken as an indication of the quality of the article of clothing.
