If the angle 1a is larger than this numeric value, it is completely held in non reaction. When an angle b1 formed between the axis and a tangential line 36 drawn along a point 37 disposed substantially at a center of the outlet section 30 is set to a value between about 40° and about 70°, a cutting efficiency at the time of cutting out can be particularly enhanced. Both the main frame 12 of a body frame 11 and a sub frame 13 containing the disk part of a turning frame 16 are joined and tightened with each other by the screw-up of a fixing ring 15 so that the turning frame 16 can be turned with respect to the sub frame 13, that is, the direction of the chain saw 22 can be changed to the horizontal or the vertical direction. Thus the chain saw may be improved for the operability in a narrow area.
