The hand tool (1) comprises an activator (10) disposed on said handle wherein the activator can be in at least one activated position in which the cutting unit (20) protrudes from the base part (40,50) through the at least one slit (70) and the activator can be in at least one deactivated position in which the cutting unit (20) is retracted entirely inside said base part (40,50).

A cutter 1 is configured by detachably attaching a replaceable blade 3 to a cutter body 2. The cutter body 2 is configured of a main body block 4 and a slide block 5. The main body block 4 includes a container section that houses the slide block 5, a main body supporting section that supports a back face of the replaceable blade 3, and a main body connecting section 42 that connects with the replaceable blade 3 from a front face side. The slide block 5 includes a rear-side supporting section, a slide connecting section 52, a flexible section 53, and a wing section 56. A front side retaining section 43 that retains the wing section 56 from a front side is formed in at least one side of the container section 45 in a height direction Z, and the front side retaining section 43 includes a protruding engaging section. In an attached state S, the wing section 56 is engaged from a foreside by the protruding engaging section, and the wing section 56 is configured capable of being released from the protruding engaging section by bending the flexible section 53 of the slide block 5 from the attached state S.

The present invention provides for a food peeler (10) having a removable blade (30) that includes an end (41) received in a bore (51) of the food peeler handle (12) and a resilient member (55) is mounted adjacent to the end (41) of the blade (30) and allows for the blade (30) to be moved between a centered and offset position so that the blade (30) may be removed and replaced. A tool (200) is provided in order to remove and replace the blade (30).

A blade (40) is removably supported on one end of a shank (30) which is axially movably disposed in a tubular holder (10). The shank has an axially extending slit (35a) terminating at the end thereof for supporting the blade (40) therein and a tapered portion having an outside diameter decreasing gradually from the end of the shank (30). The blade is movable from one of its retracted, cutting and replacement positions to an­other with the movement of the shank. A sleeve (50) is fitted about the shank (30) adjacent to the end thereof and has one end facing the tapered portion (51) thereof. A coiled spring (61) is provided on the shank (30) for urging one end of the sleeve (50) into contact with the tapered portion of the shank. The sleeve is axially movable with the movement of the shank. The holder (10) is provided on its inner surface adjacent to the sleeve (50) for preventing the movement of the sleeve (50) upon move­ment of the blade (40) to its replacement position.
