101 GOLF BALL HOLDER US09682125 2001-07-25 US20030019895A1 2003-01-30 Frank Childers
A holder for golf balls is disclosed that is clipped to the belt or pants of a golfer. The container has a flared opening at the top and has a constricted opening at the bottom. Golf balls are placed in the top opening. The golf ball holder allows for a ball to be removed from the top opening by inserting a finger through the front opening and pushing the top golf ball out of the top flared opening. Pushing the golf ball from the bottom opening may retrieve the remaining golf ball. The golf ball holder works equally well for a right or left-handed person. Apertures are provided in the top surface of the golf ball holder to accept and securely hold golf tees and a golf ball marker. Finally, an area for advertising company or organizations names or logos is provided on the front of the golf ball holder.

The invention includes a concave cup specifically designed to hold various size basketballs. The cup has a stem which inserts and is held securely in a precision bearing, which in turn is held firmly in the splined finger gripping portion of the invention. The splined finger gripping portion of the device is held securely on the finger of a person, by an o-ring. The o-ring rolls up and down on the splined portion and is prevented from rolling off by the molded protrusions at the bottom of the splined finger gripping portion of the invention. The splines are tapered to allow for expansion and contraction to fit various finger sizes.

105 Tennis ball holding article US791909 1997-01-31 US5704531A 1998-01-06 Richard Nam
A tennis ball holding article comprising a zippered compartment which accommodates a plurality of tennis balls, and a belt which allows the present invention to be worn around the waist. The zippered compartment of the present invention tightly and securely accommodates a plurality of tennis balls. A zipper disposed along the upper end of the zippered compartment provides access to the balls. When a ball is needed, the zipper is unzipped until a ball is made accessible. When the ball is removed, because the zippered compartment retains the remaining tennis balls very tightly, the zipper can remain in this intermediate position until another ball is needed. The zipper may then be unzipped further until the next ball is made accessible. Because the zipper does not have to be zipped and unzipped to secure the remaining tennis balls, the present invention provides a tennis player with extremely quick and convenient access to a plurality of tennis balls. In addition, the present invention does not require a great amount of material for construction and therefore does not burden the tennis player during a match.
106 Sports ball bag US556513 1995-11-13 US5615769A 1997-04-01 Stanley L. Stephenson
A sports ball bag provides for the drying and warming care of a sports ball during the course of a ball game. The bag is particularly adapted for the care of one or more footballs placed therein, as would be used in the play of amateur and professional football games, but may be used for the care of balls used in other types of ball games as well. The bag is formed of a waterproof outer cover (e.g., vinyl) having an openable side closure and opposite openable end closures thereby allowing the cover to be laid out flat. A removable and replaceable moisture absorbent liner (e.g., a terry cloth towel) may be secured within the cover in order to dry the ball and to provide some thermal insulation properties. A warming device, such as a chemical hand warmer packet, may also be placed within the bag to warm any balls or other articles placed therein. The end closures are preferably draw strings in order to provide rapid access to the interior of the bag. An adjustable neck and shoulder strap is also provided so the user of the bag may have both hands free for removal and insertion of game balls within the bag during the course of the game.

An upper spacer (18) is secured through the center of the upper ball recess (14) and a lower spacer (19) is secured through the center of the lower ball recess (16) to give the center of the respective ball recess ( 14) and (16) a dimension slightly less than that of the ball. Two pieces of hooked fastening material (20) are secured inside the body (11) for each of the majority of balls in the upper ball recess (14) and each ball in the lower ball recess (16) to retain the balls inside the body (11). A belt loop assembly (24), leg strap loop (27) and leg strap (28) are provided for attaching the device to a player.
109 Ball belt US942026 1992-09-04 US5289960A 1994-03-01 Nancy A. Kelly; Chulech J. Khau
Two semi-oval pieces of fabric form an elastic pouch attached to a nylon belt. Both end's of the nylon belt are attached to a male and female buckle that secure the belt around the participant's waist. To accommodate different waist sizes, the length can be increased and decreased through a three strand adjustor. The fabric's stretchability allows it to expand and decrease in order to hold one to three tennis balls without falling out of the pouch. When the Ball Belt is not in use, it's flexible construction can be rolled-up, folded or used as a case to carry the tennis balls in.

The invention relates to a tennis ball holder and storage apparatus incorporated with a garment to be worn by a tennis player. The garment is previded with a hook element and a loop element of a hook and loop connector. The hook element is attached to the garment along a pocket open end and the loop element is attached to a pocket flap which exteds over the pocket opening such that the hook and loop elements will be aligned and engaged. The hook element on the garment can further be engaged with the nap surface on a standard tennis ball to thereby attach the ball to the garment. A pouch having a loop portion of a hook and loop fastener attached along its upper edge and adjacent its opening is provided. The loop portion on the pouch can be engaged with the hook element on the garment to thereby provide the garment with an auxiliary pocket for holding tennis balls.

A device is provided that can be carried by a tennis player, which allows the player to easily store and receive tennis balls. The device includes a substantially rigid tubular member whose inside closely surrounds a standard size tennis ball, and which has a wide slot at one side through which a tennis ball can pass when resiliently deformed. With the tubular member at the player's back at waist level, the player can place a ball anywhere against the slot and press the ball through the slot into the tubular member, or reach through the slot to grasp a ball and pull it out through the slot or through an open end of the tubular member.
112 Tennis ball holder US435484 1989-10-10 US4979742A 1990-12-25 Jack E. DiFranco
A tennis ball holder (1) has flexible petals (4) arranged around a tennis ball receiving recess (10). Nap-catching pins (9) attached to the petals project into the recess. When a tennis ball (21) is forced against the holder, the petals open outwardly, permitting the ball to enter the recess. The pins are then forced elastically into the nap (20) that covers the ball, thereby holding the ball in place. When the ball is manually pulled away, the pins release the nap undamaged and the petals elastically return to their original position. The holder is designed for economical fabrication in one piece. The holder may be attached to the handle end of a tennis racket for retrieving fallen balls without stopping. Alternatively, the holder may be attached to clothing for holding a ball not in use.

The panels can be either permanently sewn to the belt or be temporarily affixed by means of snaps or other fasteners. Each panel has pockets for holding at least six tennis balls. In the conventional pocket arrangement, each panel has three upwardly facing pockets and three downwardly facing pockets. Alternatively, elastic strips attached to the panels are used as pockets, preferably with reticulated polymer surface therein to assist in retaining the tennis balls within the elastic pocket.
116 Belt type garment for carrying tennis balls and the like US461227 1983-01-26 US4416404A 1983-11-22 Fitz A. S. C. Daniels
A belt type garment for carrying tennis balls and the like comprises a belt portion having on one extremity devices thereon for removably fastening the belt portion around the waist of the wearer. A tubular section for carrying at least one of the balls has its longitudinal seam secured to the rear surface of the belt such that the belt passes through the tubular section longitudinally at the inner circumference. At opposite exremities of the tubular section, symmetrical orifices with throats constricted transversely to the tubular axis by elongate elastic strips which are secured to the inner circumference at each throat station in the stretched condition such that when the elastic is relaxed, a plurality of successive gathers extends circumferentially at each throat forming between them the storage compartment and adjacently an infundibuliform orifice with a forward facing semi-elliptical perimeter. The elastically constricted throats allow for ease of insertion and removal of the balls while at the same time providing a secure compartment for retaining the balls during play.
