81 Inflatable ball repair US404361 1982-08-02 US4432547A 1984-02-21 Malcolm E. Richards
Means and method for repairing an inflatable ball damaged to the extent that its ability to remain inflated has been impaired in which the method comprises the steps of removing a portion of the ball covering so as to permit the removal of the damaged bladder, if any, and the insertion of a new or replacement bladder; maintainably positioning the new or replacement bladder within the ball covering for ease of inflation thereof; and the restoring of the surface integrity of the ball cover while providing external access through the restored surface to the inflation valve of the new or replacement bladder. Apparatus has been disclosed for carrying forth the steps of the method and the end result of practicing the method is seen to be a manufacture comprising a repaired inflatable ball.
82 Inflatable ball US518996 1974-12-16 US3975016A 1976-08-17 Steven Bodor
A ball adapted to be spun on the tip of the finger and have it whirl faster and longer due to a bearing inserted within the ball by means of an attached housing. The ball may be reinflated through an aperture in the bearing and a sealing valve member contained by the housing. The parts comprising the bearing and its associated housing can all be molded of plastic also, making the entire assembly lighter and simpler to manufacture.

An inflatable device is provided, comprising a carcass and an internal air intake mechanism assembly. The carcass defines a surface of the device and surrounds an inner volume of the device, and has an opening. The internal air intake mechanism assembly comprises a primary one way valve mechanism joined to the carcass to cover the opening. The primary one way valve mechanism extends into the inner volume and is configured for enabling air to be directed into inner volume from an environment external to the carcass, while preventing or limiting air flow from the inner to the external environment.

94 BALL WITH AN INFLATION DEVICE US12973973 2010-12-21 US20120157249A1 2012-06-21 Sheng-Yi YEH
A ball with an inflation device includes a ball body and an inflation unit disposed in the ball body. The ball body has a reinforcement cavity on an inner wall thereof to accommodate the inflation unit and communicate with the inflation unit for air inflation. The inflation unit has an inflation body coupled to the reinforcement cavity of the ball body. An air chamber is formed between the ball body and the inflation body. The inflation body has an air inlet, an inflation inlet and leakage-proof members respectively coupled to the air inlet and the inflation inlet. The inflation inlet communicates with the inside of the ball body. When in use, the user presses down the air inlet of the press portion with his/her finger, the air in the air chamber will pass the leakage-proof member into the ball body. When the user releases his/her finger, the leakage-proof member is used to stop the air in the inner space of the ball body from leakage. Outer air enters the air chamber through the air inlet. The operation is repeated to inflate the ball body, without using other tools
95 Inflation method for and game ball with noise suppression disk US13239020 2011-09-21 US08172708B2 2012-05-08 Dann Burke
An inflatable game ball containing a noise suppression device and a method for inflating the game ball are described. More particularly, a free standing, noise suppression disk is fit snuggly within a central area of the hollow internal cavity formed by the bladder of the game ball. The diameter of the noise suppression disk is slightly larger than the diameter of the hollow internal cavity of the ball, while the thickness of the disk is sufficient to provide necessary rigidity to the game ball noise suppressor without adding excess weight to the ball. An exact amount of SF6 is pre-filled in the balls, when combined with subsequent air, is determined to create the ultimate SF6 to air ratio range at various altitude levels. Subsequently, the balls are only partially inflated at the time of manufacture with the SF6 gas, and no air.

A ball having an inflatable ball shell within which is found an inflatable inner ball partially filled with an inner ball gas and partially filled with a liquid that is held in the center of the inflatable ball shell by an inflatable support when the inflatable inner ball, the inflatable ball shell and the inflatable support are inflated. The ball exhibits an eccentric and unpredictable motion unless a concomitant spin is appropriately applied to it and the motion of the ball is primarily determined by movement of the liquid within the inflatable inner ball. The inflatable support can be a donut-shaped chamber having an inner radius which is substantially the same as, and may be attached to, an outer radius of the inflatable inner ball. Alternatively, the inflatable support can be three or more elastic spherical shells attached to the inflatable inner ball.
