112 TILLING APPARATUS US14185330 2014-02-20 US20140166320A1 2014-06-19 Niels Peter Olsen
A tilling apparatus and a method of tilling soils which includes the use of a rotational shaft having a number of cutter assemblies located at spaced apart locations on the shaft in which each cutter assembly has a multitude of blades which rotate as the rotary shaft rotates to form a plurality of spaced apart trenches having the same spacing as the spacing of the cutters, and a width caused by the width of the blades. As the blades dig the trench, the soil contacted by the blades is granulated and is tossed about by the spinning blades so that some soil falls back into the trench and some falls along the periphery of the trench to form rows of aerated granules which promote enhanced growth of plants or seeds in the trench and along the edge of the trench to improve the yield of pasture having the trenches. Various attachments can be provided on the tilling apparatus, either in front of or towards the rear of the spinning blades for different purposes, such as rippers, seeders, levellers, or similar. The advantage of the tilling apparatus is that the soil is formed into granules which are used to form an aerated array of soil granules having enhanced growing properties for plants.
113 Hydraulic tiller assembly US09589376 2000-06-07 US06467550B1 2002-10-22 Usman Firdaus
A tiller assembly includes a tine assembly that is rotatably connected to a tiller body and the tine assembly includes at least one tine for use in tilling associated soil. A hydraulic system is operatively connected to the tine assembly and includes a hydraulic pump, a hydraulic motor for use in rotating the tine assembly in first and second directions, a control valve, and hydraulic hose for use in communicating hydraulic fluid between the hydraulic pump, the hydraulic motor, and the control valve. The control valve may be positioned on-the-go into a first position thereby causing the tine assembly to rotate in a first direction and into a second position thereby causing the tine assembly to rotate in a second direction. The tiller assembly may also include a roller assembly that has a roller frame pivotably connected to the tiller body. The roller assembly also includes a roller that is rotatably connected to the roller frame and a spring for use in maintaining the roller against the soil. The roller has a contact surface for use in repacking the tilled soil. The spring permits the roller frame to move with respect to the tiller body.

A blade includes at least one blade body attached to a chassis to be hitched to a tractor vehicle. The blade includes at least one part which is laterally inclined in relation to a vertical plane parallel to the tractor vehicle's line of advancement. This inclined part includes a heel at a positive angle to the ground. The heel is equipped with a wear plate having at least one tip that is laterally displaced in relation to the front edge of the inclined part of the blade body and in relation to the front edge of the heel.
115 Method and a machine for repairing a ground area planted with grass for example a turfed racecourse or equestrian training ground US29158 1993-03-10 US5464066A 1995-11-07 Bernard Doucet
A method and apparatus for filling holes which have been made in the ground, by causing a machine which includes a rotary rake at its extreme front end to pass over the ground. In the case in which the ground area planted with grass is a racecourse or equestrian training ground, the machine is preferably driven over the course in a direction opposite to the direction in which the horses have been moving, the rotary rake being driven so as to rotate with a forward velocity tangential to the ground. The machine also includes a soil consolidating device disposed behind the rotary rake to tamp the soil which is replaced in the holes by the rake so that the soil will remain in place.
116 Landscape levelling and raking apparatus US954863 1992-09-30 US5265681A 1993-11-30 Frank Kincses
A landscape leveling and raking apparatus has a frame, a handle protruding upwardly from the frame, a rake pivotally coupled to the frame to protrude downwardly and rearwardly therefrom, a screed fixed to the frame forwardly of the rake, a plurality of tiller blades rotatably mounted along a forward, open end of the frame, a motor which rotatably drives the tiller blades, and a mechanism for raising or lowering the tiler ,blades relative to the frame. As the blades rotate, they till the soil and propel the apparatus forward. The frame is open along its front edge. This allows soil to accumulate within the frame as the apparatus moves forward. The soil gradually escapes from the frame by passing beneath a screed fixed along the lower rear edge of the frame. The screed levels the soil before it is raked by the tines of the rake.
117 Combination tillage apparatus US633129 1990-12-24 US5078216A 1992-01-07 Virgil Dick

A second modified embodiment of the combination tillage apparatus comprises a compact frame for towing behind a garden tractor, a yoke in combination with a wheel and a strut for providing either fixed angular orientation of the implement relative to the frame or fixed angular orientation of the implement relative to the direction of travel of the apparatus, and a motor and a shaft for driving a hydraulically powered implement. A third modified embodiment of the combination tillage apparatus provides mounting mechanisms of each of the other embodiments mounted on a plurality of the compact frames connected in tandem.
118 Stone burying attachment for landscape machines US663116 1991-03-01 US5070946A 1991-12-10 John L. Herr; John W. Herr
A stone burying attachment for a finish grading landscape machine is disclosed wherein the attachment is optionally mounted to the frame of the machine to create a furrow immediately forwardly of the discharge side of the machine to permit a burying of stones and other unwanted debris collected by the landscape machine during operation thereof. The stone burying attachment is positionally adjustable between operative and inoperative positions to permit a selective engagement thereof at the discretion of the operator. The attachment includes a disc positioned angularly with respect to the direction of travel and also positionable at varying heights in the operative position for selectively varying the desired depth of the furrow being formed thereby. A breakaway feature protects the attachment if the disc engages an immovable object.
119 Agricultural machine US440512 1989-11-22 US5046346A 1991-09-10 Vittorio Pegoraro
The invention relates to an agricultural machine for soil-cultivation, comprising, in the direction (F) of travel of the machine, a first row of cutting wheels arranged at right-angles to the said direction of travel and having substantially horizontal axes, in front of which is arranged a cylindrical roller with the aid of which weeds and/or the remains of past cultivation, such as stalks, stubble, and the like may be broken up. A subsequent row of ripping elements, with blades preferably running out to a point, rips up and loosens the soil, without ploughing it in, and is associated with plough-mould-boards which partially plough in the loosened soil. A transverse row of rotor-tools, with substantially horizontal axes, acts as a harrow and is used for final ploughing through 180.degree. and for crumbling the soil. The cutting wheels and the rotor-tools are arranged with their axes at an angle to the perpendiculars to the direction of travel (F) of the machines, preferably at an angle of between 5.degree. and 45.degree., whereas the ripping elements run in the said direction of travel (F).
120 Tillage implement US132377 1980-03-21 US4331204A 1982-05-25 Robert E. White
A tractor drawn tillage implement having a front hood, rippers, a rotary tiller and a row former, conditions tight adobe soil ready for planting in one pass. The front hood, having rock deflectors, protects the operator from airborne objects while containing dust and soil disturbed by the rippers and the tiller. The rippers fracture the soil to aid water and root penetration, to increase water retention of the subsoil and to constrain development of hard pan. The rotatary tiller, driven by an auxiliary power unit and having its axis of rotation at or submerged below the ground surface, mulches the soil and plant residue and aerates the soil commensurate with rearward airborne discharge of the soil. A row former deflects the airborne soil into rows of predetermined height and width ready for planting and provides an air tight shroud to control dust and airborne objects. A tool bar is also incorporated for supporting add ons, such as fertilizers and planters.
