A semi-automatic hand tool for extruding electrical connectors in order to connect a wire to a post of an integrated circuit panel includes extruding means which are actuated by an airoperated actuating means, and which includes means for feeding the electrical connectors to the extruding tip. The operation of the extruding means, the actuating means, and the feeding means are coordinated by a multi-valve control system which is air operated. In addition, a sensing means is provided in conjunction with the extruding means for insuring that the hand tool does not recycle prematurely.

A tool for the installation of flanged tubular type wire clamp terminal clips over a wire lead and post terminal includes a plurality of finger members pivotally mounted about a hollow central push rod such that they close radially toward the rod on the application of axial pressure. Means for applying axial pressure is provided whereby a flanged tubular type wire clamp terminal clip is gripped between the fingers and push rod. As pressure is increased the fingers and rod exert opposing axial forces on the terminal clip sufficient to deform the cylindrical clip wall inwardly thereby securing the wire to the terminal. In an alternative embodiment a solid central push rod is employed to effect removal of the terminal clips.

An installation tool for forcibly inserting a first work piece into a fitting hole of a second work piece comprises a body, a holding head, a power lever, and a hammering tool. The body has a front end and a rear end opposite the front end in a longitudinal direction. The holding head is connected to the front end of the body and configured to hold the second work piece. The power lever is movably mounted on the body and extends in the longitudinal direction. The hammering tool is configured to hammer the power lever to exert an impact force on the power lever, the power lever pushing the first work piece in the longitudinal direction under the impact force to forcibly insert the first work piece into the fitting hole of the second work piece. |

A hotstick tool for assisting a lineman tapping power lines using a wedge-type tap connector includes a primary arm including a first holder to releasably engage a C-shaped member of the wedge-type tap connector. A secondary arm includes a second holder to releasably engage a wedge member of the wedge-type tap connector. A pivoting linkage system guides movement of the secondary arm relative to the primary arm to insert the wedge member into the C-shaped member. |
