The clip connector has an insulated cover (13) which is fitted against a stop (14) in an opening (15) in the wall (10) of the distributor casing. Grooves (16) in the connector allow a spring clip (28) to be fitted over the connector so the clop rests against the interior wall of the distributor, retaining the connector. The spring clip is fabricated from a piece of spring steel which is bent in two directions. The steel strip is folded through 180 degrees, leaving a tube at the top of the clip. The flat region has a square cutout to fit over the connector and has a shallow curve, ending in a small hook at the end of each of the tongues on either side of the cut-out region.

PURPOSE: To prevent dew drop of the inner wall of a distribution cap in the sharp cooling of a distributor by forming a distribution cap into a double structure with the inside and outside partitioning bodies integrally installed onto a housing and forming a space for preventing dew drop between both the divided bodies. CONSTITUTION: A distributor is installed at one edge part of a shaft 3 inside a housing 1, and a distribution rotor 19 is arranged, and a distribution cap 13 is arranged oppositely. In this case, the distribution cap 13 is formed into double structure with an outside distribution cap 14 made of the material having a large mechanical strength and a inside distribution cap 15 made of the material having the superior electric insulating performance. An installation screw 21 inserted into the bush 18 of the outside distribution cap 14 is screwed into the female screw of the housing 1, and the inside distribution cap 15 is press- fitted onto the housing 1 through a packing 19. PURPOSE: To constantly maintain the good effect of reducing radio noise without raising electric discharge voltage even when used in long term by forming the front end electric discharging part of a rotational electrode, of metal member, and by providing a dielectric member that is in contact with a part separated from the surface on which electric discharging works at a very small area. CONSTITUTION: A rotational electrode 10A is formed of a metal member 3 and has a structure in which a dielectric member 5 is brought into line-contact with a position on the extended line of an electric discharging surface 2 at the side surface 4 of the rotational electrode. The dielectric constant of the dielectric member 5 is larger than that of a holding member of the rotational electrode 10A. The electric discharge starting voltage is reduced by adding the dielectric 5, while radio noise is sufficiently reduced. Since the thermal deformation or burning loss due to the heating by electric discharging arc heat occurs at the center part of the electric discharging surface 2 of the metal member 3 in the direction of rotation, thermal deformation or burning loss is minimized in the dielectric 5 provided on the side surface 4 of the metal member 3. CONSTITUTION: An ignition distributor comprises a rotor 1 secured on a head 2 of a cam shaft 3 of an internal combustion engine. A central dome 10 for a central electrode 11, and another dome 12 for a plurality of electrodes of the same number of cylinders are arranged in a cap 7 of the distributor. The central electrode 11 is provided with a cylindrical extension 11a extending toward a first electrode 15 of the rotor 1, connected to a resistor 18 and an electric contact member 19 embedded in the central dome 10. The central electrode 11 further has a portion 22 embedded in the cap 7. The portion 22 is formed free of any edge by two protruding portions 23, 24, a constricted portion 25 between them and a hollow cylindrical portion 26.

CONSTITUTION:A group of high-tension cables 3 is housed in a box body 6 and then a frame body 7 is inserted thereinto from the downside and engaged therewith, attaching each cap 5 to each of guide rings 9, while these caps 5 are held among an upper end of each guide ring 9, the box body 6 and a ceiling part and housed. Next, the box body 6 is covered over a tower part group 1, keeping it down, and attached to an ignition apparatus body 8 and locked. Thus, these caps 5 housed in the box body 6 are attached to the tower part group 1 in a lump whereby a lot of high-tension codes 3 and a terminal group 2 are connected simultaneously. In this way, operatability is well improved, while since the tower part is protected with the waterproof box body, sealability is also improve, so that connection performance for high voltage is favorably maintained in a stable manner.

PURPOSE:To suppress radio interference by constituting main bodies of fixed and rotary electrodes with sintered powder of specified mixture ratios of zinc oxide and ferrite and by integrally sintering their discharge surfaces with ferrite. CONSTITUTION:A rotary electrode 10 facing multiple fixed electrodes 3 is composed of a sintered body 10a containing ZnO (zinc oxide) powder of 50-90 mol % and ferrite powder of 5-50 mol% with its discharge surface portion 10b integrally sintered with ferrite. Owing to this, wear on the discharge surfaces due to discharge can be prevented with ferrite 10b and ignition energy loss is reduced because of the inner composition of higher percentage of ZnO which is semiconductor having low specific resistance. Further, as magnetic substance is added in the main body 10a, high frequency spectrum can be suppressed with eddy current loss and hysteresis loss. Above composition also has higher inductance in the discharge surface area 10b with which high frequency current can be suppressed and effect of radio interference suppression can be obtained.
