PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a funnel packaging material for a cathode ray tube whose overall support strength for supporting a funnel is high in assembling and whose storage is easy by making it less bulky. SOLUTION: This relates to a funnel packaging material for a cathode ray tube where a plurality of funnels 10 for a cathode ray tube are received and laid on top of another vertically. The material comprises a panel shape support part where a plurality of through holes are formed for inserting a funnel neck, a pair of first inside wall parts 26a, 26b which are provided on both sides of the support part and are foldable relative to the panel face of the support part, and a pair of second inside wall parts 27a, 27b which are provided on both ends of the support part and are foldable relative to the panel face of the support part with the first inside wall parts. At least either the first inside wall parts or the second inside wall parts are provided with a plurality of folding lines 30 for folding the first inside wall parts and the second inside wall parts relative to the panel face of the support part. |

PURPOSE:To reduce occurrence of a detection clamp miss of a black level to nil and obtain a picture with high quality by forming the optical black level section into approximately the same shape as a deflection magnetic field distortion. CONSTITUTION:An optical blck level section 16 formed on the side edge of a color separation stripe filter 2 by chromium metalizing, etc., is shaped in a curve so that the upper end 16a and the lower end 16b form a concave facing the scanning direction of an electron beam 12. According to this constitution, in case of a deflection magnetic field with a barrel shaped magnetic field distortion, horizontal scanning start points a, b, c of the electron beam 12 are located within the upper end 16a of the optical black level section 16, therefore a detection clamp misss of the optical black level section 16 is reduced to nil. Under a method detecting the optical black level section 16 prior to the start of the horizontal scanning, horizontal scanning start points a', b', c' are located within the curved lower end 16b of the optical black level section 16, thus the detection clamp miss is also reduced to nil. |

PURPOSE:To effectively absorb the external oscillation which is transmitted to a cathode-ray tube and minimize the oscillation by mixing, reacting, and solidifying two types of liquid material as a filling member layer and specifying its hardness as a specific value. CONSTITUTION:A cathode-ray tube unit is formed by providing a filling member layer 17 consisting of silicon rubber at a gap between an outer box 16 and the side wall section of the panel 11 of a cathode-ray tube 10 and a deflector 14. This filling member layer 17 attenuates external oscillation and reduces the oscillation. As this filling member layer 17, a potting filling member with a hardness of less than 20, such as two-liquid mixing contracting type silicon rubber is used in accordance with the measurement method of JIS, K-6301. This can absorb the transmission of external oscillation to the cathode-ray tube and minimize the oscillation. |

PURPOSE:To reduce the external oscillation which is transmitted to the side wall section of a cathode-ray tube panel by providing a filling member layer at the space between the tube body of a funnel and part of a neck and the inner wall of an outer box. CONSTITUTION:A cathode-ray tube 20 consisting of a deflector 23 and another extra-tube component 25 is mounted inside an outer box 26 on the outer wall from a funnel 22 and a neck 23 in a tube body consisting of the neck 23 which is connected through a panel 21 and the funnel 22, a cathode-ray tube unit is formed by providing a filling member layer 27 such as silicon rubber is provided at the gap between the funnel 22 of the outer box 26 to the deflector 24. This fully attenuates external oscillation, which is transmitted to a cathode tube 20. As a result, color shift and light and dark fringes can be prevented without being affected by the oscillation. |

PURPOSE:To prevent creeping discharge and obtain a picture display device with high reliability by prolonging the creeping distance of a frame body pin for an acceleration electrode between a frame body for an acceleration electrode and a horizontal focusing electrode shielded plate. CONSTITUTION:Two or more frame body pins 39 for two or more acceleration electrodes are provided under a frame body 37 for an acceleration electrode so as to position the height direction with a horizontal focusing electrode 38. A horizontal focusing electrode shielded plate 40 is inserted between the frame body pins 39 for the acceleration electrodes and the horizontal focusing electrode 38 and into the peripheral section of the frame body 37 for the acceleration electrode and each electrode on the horizontal focusing electrode 38 side is guarded from high voltage discharge. As a result, by using the frame body pins for the acceleration whose creeping distance is prolonged, creeping discharge can be attenuated. Since the amount of gas generated by discharge is low, a picture display device with high reliability can be obtained. |

PURPOSE:To enable the earthing conductor to be simply and securely mounted to a cathode-ray tube, by providing only one fixture with regard to the captioned mounting device of an earthing conductor for earthing of the cathode-ray tube of a television receiver. CONSTITUTION:One fixture 9 is provided in order to mount an earthing conductor 7 to a cathode-ray tube 8. At one end of the fixture 9, a coupling part 11 is installed in order to couple a deflection yoke 10. The coupling part 11 is a part whose section is like a (?) letter-like and which has a pawl 11a. The intermediate part of the fixture 9 has elasticity and at the other end thereof a recessed part 13 into which the earthing conductor 7 is fitted is formed. The fixture 9 is formed in one body by resins. The both ends of the earthing conductor 7 are engaged with the tabs 12a, 12b of the cathode-ray tube 8, the intermediate part of the earthing conductor 7 is fitted into the recessed part 13 of the fixture 9 and furthermore the coupling part 11 of the fixture 9 is connected to the deflection yoke 11. By doing this, the intermediate of the fixture 9 is curved and the fixture 9 can be securely mounted without slackening the earthing conductor 7. |
