PURPOSE: To measure the liquid level with high accuracy and high stability by counting/measuring the distance from a reference point to a detecting point on the liquid surface by the number of pulses and outputting the number as a digital number while a float is moved up and down within a longitudinal cylinder of a liquid chamber. CONSTITUTION: As the liquid level 5 of a tank 17 is changed up and down, a float 4 is moved up and down. When the movement of the float 4 is to be measured, a pulse motor 11 is driven by the action of a limit switch 12a in response to a measurement instructing signal, and a magnetic sensor 8 is moved upward by the rotation of a screw rod 7 and generates a signal when it reaches the position of a permanent magnet 3 built in the float 4. The output of the magnetic sensor 8 is detected via an amplifier 14. At the same time, the liquid level 5 of the tank 17 is detected as a digital value showing the distance from a limit switch 12a below a reference point to the permanent magnet 3, namely, float 4 by counting the number of pulses of the pulse motor 11 since the lower limit switch 12a is started until the magnetic sensor 8 detects magnetism. Accordingly, the liquid level can be measured with high accuracy and high stability. COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio

PURPOSE: To obtain a magnetic float for a magnetic sensor easily and inexpensively and to improve durability by making the powder of a magnetic substance be contained in a foamed body of synthetic resin and by magnetizing this powder of the magnetic substance. CONSTITUTION: A magnetic float 22 of a level gage 24 is prepared by making the powder 26 of a magnetic substance be contained in a foamed body 25 of synthetic resin. The powder 26 of the magnetic substance is dispersed inside the foamed body 25 and this powder 26 is magnetized in the vertical thickness direction. In the magnetic float 22 thus prepared, almost all the powder 26 of the magnetic substance is coated with the synthetic resin of the foamed body 25, except for a very small part thereof exposed on the surface, and therefore it is prevented entirely from the possibility of being affected by a liquid 32 and thus is excellent in durability. The magnetic float 22 can be manufactured easily by mixing the synthetic resin and the powder 26 of the magnetic substance, by injecting the material thus prepared into a mold and by making the synthetic resin foamed. PURPOSE: To fix an exchangeable lead switch into a rod positively by providing the hollow rod, a lead switch, a float, and a connection terminal and fixing the lead switch in the hollow rod in axial direction by a bayonet type placement being mounted to a socket part. CONSTITUTION: Within the cylindrical entrance region of a hollow rod 2 for accepting the lower part of an insertion unit, a guide groove 9 which is engraved in the vertical direction of the rod 2 and where its bottom direction is directed toward the outside in radius direction to accept the three elastic placement zones 7 of an insertion rod 5 while a periphery is divided equally. An insertion unit with the elastic placement zones 7 is inserted into the guide grooves 9 at the time of mounting. Then, the perfect adaptation of the insertion unit into the rod 2 is achieved by the rotation of the insertion unit 5 and the unit 5 is twisted so that the elastic placement zone is outside the groove 9 in the rod 2. PURPOSE:To enhance the reliability of the titled apparatus, by comparing and discriminating a liquid level falling ratio by the operation from the flow amount signal of a flow sensor and that from the liquid level signal of a liquid level detecting sensor and operating an alarm or an emergency measuring means when the compared value exceeds an error tolerance value. CONSTITUTION:The flow sensor 3 attached to an outflow pipe 2 is connected to a container 1, of which the horizontal cross-sectional area is almost constant, so that the liquid stored in said container 1 is flowed out through an electromotive outflow valve 4 for controlling the flow amount of a fluid. A liquid level detecting sensor 5 for detecting the liquid level in the container 1 is additionally connected to said outflow pipe 2 and floats 7 each having a magnet 6 are arranged in the cylinder of said sensor 5 at predetermined intervals. When the float 7 is stopped at a definite position upon the reception of buoyance, the liquid level is detected by magnetic force. Further, an electromotive inflow valve 11 is connected to a liquid level monitor controller 10 and the inflow of the liquid is attained based on a control sequence. By this method, because a proper emergency measure is performed while the abnormality of the liquid detection is always monitored, reliability can be enhanced.
110 Water flow switch for water heater JP7032084 1984-04-09 JPS60213758A 1985-10-26 KONISHI MITSUNARI
PURPOSE:To stop combustion in case water having a temperature higher than a given temperature flows by utilizing the characteristic of a magnet having Curie effect. CONSTITUTION:The water heater is provided with a float 3, moving by the flow of water, the magnet 2, whose magnetic force is eliminated by the Curie effect when the temperature thereof becomes a given temperature, and a lead switch 5, opened and closed by the magnetic force. When water flows, the float 3 contracts a spring 4 and envelopes the lead switch 5. When the magnet 2 has the magnetic force or the temperature of flowing water is lower than the given temperature in this case, the lead switch 5 is closed and the signal thereof is delivered to the combustion device 7 of the water heater to begin combustion. When the temperature of the flowing water is higher than the given temperature, the magnet 2 loses the magnetic force and the lead switch 5 is opened, therefore, combustion is stopped. When the flow of water is stopped under the burning condition of the combustion device, the float 3 returns to the initial position thereof and is separated from the lead switch 5, therefore, the lead switch 5 is opened and the combustion is stopped.
