The module is provided with a leaf spring arranged diagonally across the key housing on its underside, the spring being deformed by a key push-rod to operate a contact foil. A free end of the spring is inserted in a recess open at the top and allows adjustment of the spring by compression of the free end or of the underside against the part of the spring adjacent to the curved end. By suitably deforming the free end the spring can be held in a self-locking manner in each support position in the recess. To regulate the actuating force a cylindrical compression spring is provided inside the key push-rod, the latter pressing against a post running over the leaf spring.

65 Stroke converting mechanism for a switch EP84302356 1984-04-06 EP0122128A3 1987-07-15 Kamei, Seisuke c/o Fujitsu Ltd., Patent Dept.; Tanaka, Toshiaki c/o Fujitsu Ltd., Patent Dept.; Hayashi, Kazutoshi c/o Fujitsu Ltd., Patent Dept.; Tanaka, Akira c/o Fujitsu Ltd., Patent Dept.; Kinoshita, Ryohei c/o Fujitsu Ltd., Patent Dept.

A stroke converting mechanism for a switch, formed of sheet or plate-like material and having a unitary structure, comprises a frame part or frame parts (155), first and second tongues (151, 152) and a first bend portion (153), to opposite ends of which first bend portion (153) the roots of the tongues are respectively joined, such that the tips of the tongues lie along differently directed lines from the first bend portion (153), and two second bend portions (154), to opposite respective sides of the first bend portion (153), each extending to join at opposite ends thereof the second tongue 152 towards its tip and the or a frame part 155, respectively.

When the frame part or parts 155 are mounted in a switch and force applied to displace the tip of the first tongue 151 generally towards the second tongue 152 the tongues are caused to turn around the first bend portion 153 so that the tip of the second tongue 152 is consequently displaced, and when the tip of the first tongue is released the tongues turn oppositely around the first bend portion so as to return to their original positions.

66 SEALED BACKLIT KEYPAD PCT/EP2009064467 2009-11-02 WO2010060743A3 2011-06-23 BIGAND JEAN-LOUIS
The invention relates to a sealed, backlit keypad that comprises at least one push switch (13), a key (15) mounted on the switch (13) for moving the same along an axis (X), and a light source (161, 162) offset relative to said axis. According to the invention, the keypad also includes an integral part (12) made of an elastic material and provided between the key (15) and the switch (13). Said part (12) provides both a seal between the switch (13) and the external environment and the guiding of the light rays from the light source (161, 162) towards the key (15) in order to backlight said key (15). The part (12) may comprise a block (12a) between the key (15) and the switch (13), and a membrane (12b) surrounding the block (12a). The part (12) also provides a plunger function and increases the travel of the key (15).
67 SEALED DUAL PLUNGER SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH SIMULTANEITY PCT/US2008070721 2008-07-22 WO2009015121A2 2009-01-29 SKARLUPKA MICHAEL J; BROSE MATTHEW J
A sealed dual plunger switch assembly includes two switch sub-assemblies comprising plunger actuating mechanisms and basic switches. The sub-assemblies can be inserted into an overall enclosure using shims in order to position their operate points in the desired range relative to the enclosure's mounting surface. The enclosure is then sealed using a combination of covers, gaskets, o-rings, connectors and potting. The sub-assemblies individually and/or simultaneously receive actuation inputs within a fixed distance from the assembly's mounting surface.
