1 Dome switch utilizing two domes US12531175 2008-03-11 US08278580B2 2012-10-02 David Zieder
The invention concerns a multi-domed switch. It relates to a multi-domed switch of the push-button type for thin printed circuit possessing a thin substrate (20) against one face of which a printed circuit having connection pads is placed. The switch comprises two domes (12) and an insulating spacer, the peripheral parts of the two domes (12) are each in contact with one face of the spacer and are thus facing each other on either side of the spacer, each dome (12) possesses a connection member (18) for connection to a connection pad of the printed circuit (20), and the spacer has a central hole large enough for the tops of the two domes (12) to be able to come into mutual contact when they are subjected to a closing-off force. Application to chip cards.

3 Multiple contact layer membrane switch US621987 1984-06-18 US4551586A 1985-11-05 Leonard Latasiewicz
A membrane switch is provided having at least two surfaces having contact members thereon. Such contact surfaces can be applied to different layers of the switch assembly or to both the top and bottom surfaces of the same layer of the switch assembly. Certain of the contact members of the different surfaces are in registration with each other and are of such a configuration to permit the combined contact of such members with a base layer.

The invention relates to a vault switch. It relates to a pusher-type vault switch for a thin printed circuit having a thin substrate (20) on a surface of which is provided a printed circuit having connection pads. The switch contains two vaults (12) and an insulating strut, the peripheral portions of the two vaults (12) are each in contact with one face of the strut and are thus facing each side of the spacer, each vault (12) having a connection member (18) to a connecting pad of the printed circuit (20), and the spacer includes a central hole large enough to allow the apex of the two vaults (12) to come into mutual contact when they are submitted to mutual forces which bring them together. The invention may be applied to chip cards.

6 Multiple contact layer membrane switch EP85303786 1985-05-30 EP0164958A3 1986-04-02 Latasiewicz, Leonard

A membrane switch is provided having at least two surfaces having contact members (15, 16 or 24) thereon. Such contact members can be applied to different layers (14 and 22) of the switch assembly or to both the top and bottom surfaces of the same layer (14) of the switch assembly. Certain of the contact members of the different surfaces are in registration with each other and are of such a configuration to permit the combined contact of such members with a base layer (34).
