The invention relates to an arrangement of a plurality of electrical conductor pairs (3) for symmetrical supplying of a consumer, in particular of a capacitively compensated conductor loop for inductively heating deposits of substances comprising hydrocarbons, such as oil sand, bitumen, heavy oil, natural gas, shale gas, and a shield pipe (4) enclosing the substances, wherein supply (1) and return (2) lines of the conductor pairs (3) are alternatingly concentrically and/or uniformly distributed within the shield pipe (4) enclosing the plurality of conductor pairs (3). The eddy currents occurring in the shield pipe (4) and the consequential losses are thus minimized.

The central conductor of a gas-insulated flexible cable consists of separate concentric tubes which are alternately spirally corrugated and annularly corrugated so that the corrugations will not nest relative to one another and are axially movable relative to one another.

A gas-filled cable having low heat emission and low power loss and being used for the transmission of high-voltage electric current. The cable includes one or more conductors which are axially spaced in position relative to each other by means of supporting insulators inside an enclosing conduit which is filled with an insulating gaseous medium. In such a cable the conduit comprises on one hand a cylindrical metal sheath of plain or low-alloy merchant steel having a carbon content of less than 0.6% and on the other hand a metal shield of non-magnetic material fixed inside the sheath and having a low specific electrical resistivity. The metal shield has a plurality of openings therethrough spaced along its length for forming particle traps.
14 High voltage system, particularly cable US3777045D 1972-05-30 US3777045A 1973-12-04 ARTBAUER J
High voltage cable with a particular first, inner conductor of circular outer cross section and contour, and a second tubular conductor coaxially arranged to the first conductor, having inwardly projecting corrugation crests of convex contour, projecting inwardly towards the inner conductor. The radius of curvature of the convexity is selected so that the electric field strength immediately adjacent the corrugation crests of the second conductor is about similar to or somewhat smaller than the field strength immediately adjacent the first conductor.

928,057. Cables; cable terminations. BRITISH INSULATED CALLENDER'S (SUBMARINE CABLES) Ltd. Dec. 5, 1961 [Dec. 6, 1960], No. 41975/60. Class 36. A gas-filled high-voltage power cable constructed without a gasproof metal sheath comprises at least one conductor having a flexible effective surface of a smooth non-re-entrant form on which is built a dielectric wall of helical lappings of plastics film which is surrounded by a layer or layers of helically applied metal tapes which may be separated from the dielectric by an electrically conductive screening tape. In the embodiment described (Fig. 1) the cable has a stranded core 1 on which is wound a flexible screen 2 of conductive polyethylene. The dielectric comprises layers 3 of polyethylene tapes applied with a 10% overlap and surrounding these layers is a seamless envelope 4 of polyethylene. An outer screen 5 is constructed from a helically applied conductive polyethylene tape. The cable is reinforced against the gas pressure by two layers of aluminium tape followed by two layers of aluminium alloy tape 6. A tape of bituminized cotton 7 and a seamless P.V.C. tube 8 protect the cable from corrosion. Numerous examples of the types of core which could be used and of suitable reinforcing tapes are given. The seamless envelope 4 may be applied by extrusion or formed by heating the outer tapes so that they combine. The outer tube 8 may be of rubber. The gas used may be nitrogen or sulphur hexafluoride and the gas space may be increased by sprinkling the dielectric tapes with powdered glass or mica or by roughening the tape surfaces. A sealing end for the cable (Fig. 2) comprises an inner insulator 13 enclosed in a shedded insulator 18, the inner insulator 13 being filled with liquid at the gas pressure. Gas is supplied to the insulator by a pipe 19 and if this is metal it is connected to a similar insulator 19. A gas reservoir may be included to take account of expansion due to heating of the cable.
