344 MUSICAL COMPOSITION DATA CREATION DEVICE AND METHOD EP03772700 2003-11-12 EP1569199A4 2005-11-30 GAYAMA SHINICHI
A musical composition data creation device and method. An input audio signal indicating a musical composition is converted into a frequency signal indicating a frequency component size at a predetermined time interval. A frequency component corresponding to each sound of the equally tempered scale is extracted from the frequency signal at a predetermined time interval. Two accords, each consisting of three frequency components whose level sum is large among the frequency components corresponding to the respective sounds extracted are detected as a first and a second accord candidate. Each string of the first and the second accord candidate detected is subjected to smoothing processing so as to generate musical composition data.

353 VERFAHREN ZUR ÜBERTRAGUNG DER ÜBLICHEN NOTENSCHRIFT IN EINE NOTENSCHRIFT FÜR LINKSHÄNDER EP03004501.7 2003-02-28 EP1351216A2 2003-10-08 Losò, Gèza; Losò, Monika

In the case of a stringed instrument the body and cover portions of the case, both made of polypropylene foam, are joined by hinges partially embedded in the foam material. The body and cover portions meeting edges are preferably provided with complementary channel and tongue assemblies increasing the structural stability of the case, once closed.

357 PROTECTIVE COVER FOR USE WITH A STRINGED MUSICAL INSTRUMENT EP98914856.4 1998-02-26 EP0962012B1 2002-04-17 Dimbath, Wolfgang
A protective cover for use with a stringed musical instrument (C) comprises a roof-like shaped shield body (11) attachable to the stringed instrument (C) to protect the most sensitive parts and areas including at least the bridge (5) and the strings (2). The shield body (11) has a concave bottom side (b2) and an inner string channel (12) open to the bottom side and designed to accommodate the bridge (5) and the strings (2). The shield body (11) is made of elastically deformable material and has on its slightly arched bottom side (b2) within an intermediate zone thereof locking projections (20, 21) designed to engage instrument recesses (a5) and projections (9, 9'), e.g. the fingerboard end portion from below. At both of its end portions (16', 15') the shield body (11) is equipped with claw-like fixing projections (16.1, 16.2; 15) designed to engage the instrument body (1) at its neckside edge area (a3) and at its opposed edge area (a4) in a mounted position (II), the latter being reached by pressing vertically upon an intermediate portion of the shield body (11) and simultaneously applying longitudinally directed forces, thereby causing a movement of the locking projections (20, 21) and of the fixing projections (16.1, 16.2; 15) into their form-locking positions. Physical loads (shocks, vibrations etc.) are absorbed by the shield body (11), and due to its arched construction, are guided to the robust neck-side edge and lower edge area (a3, a4) of the instrument body (1).

The inner case cover and receptacle are made of a clear rigid plastic. A suction valve or pump (50, 130) opens to the inner case interior to evacuate fluid while a vacuum gauge (53) is provided for measuring the pressure. The inner case bottom wall (32, 117) has a plurality of pockets (74, 148) for having hangers extended therein to hang the case on a wall and stand pockets (142) to have stand parts of a foldable stand (85) extended therein or a stand (144) pivoted to the bottom wall to support the inner case (W, Z) in an inclined condition. A portable outer case (X, 170) has a compartment for containing the inner case.
359 ELECTRONIC INFORMATION AID EP94908530.2 1994-03-11 EP0648363B1 2001-09-19 PAPADOPOULOS, Marios Gabriel
An electronic information aid displays and calculates the relationships between a series of individual integers which may comprise alphabetical and/or numerical indicia or a series of visual and/or aural indicia or a combination of any one or more of the integers. The aid has a number of reference rings (23a-23g) each of which is independently rotatable but maintained in a predetermined spatial relationship with each other. Each reference ring (23) includes a number of segments each of which displays indicia which corresponds to an integer. When the rings (23a-23g) are rotated so the segments are aligned into an active strip in accordance with a coding system, the segments will display the interrelationship between the integers. Each segment within the active strip can be activated to initiate an aural or a visual response.
