A yearly calendar comprises a board (10) having an array of sections, one for each day of the year, each section having a hole (20) which contains a paper roll (24) printed with a message appropriate or useful for the respective day, such as a fortune, horoscope, riddle, anecdote, quotation, aphorism, etc. The paper rolls are retained by paper overlays (18, 22) on both sides of the board. A user of the calendar punches out each day's paper roll, perferably on the morning of such day. The paper rolls fall down a passageway (16) at the back of the board to a tray (34, 36) under the board, whereupon it is unrolled and read by such user. The punched-out sections of the board provide a useful graphic indication of elapsed days of the year. |

A perpetual monthly calendar for showing the numerical days of any month related to the proper days of the week comprising a rigid planar surface having a plurality of pegs spaced apart in a horizontal line disposed near the upper edge of the surface and a plurality of vertically positionable rigid strips bearing columnized numerical indicia indicative of particular numerical days, each strip removeably coupled to a different peg. Displayed on the planar surface adjacent each peg are indicia correlating a particular peg to a particular day of the week. The numerical indicia on each strip is displayed in column form, displaying the appropriate numbered sequence one week apart. Each strip has a pair of vertically disposed apertures (except the strip having the first day of the month, which has a single aperture), each of which may receive a peg to mount the strips vertically on the board. A particular monthly numeral-day array is achieved by positioning the strips relative to the pegs. |

A perpetual calendar which has transparent letters and numbers positioned in a predetermined matrix arrangement on an opaque sheet. Within the predetermined matrix arrangement of numbers and letters are abbreviations for the name of each day of the week, each month of the year, and the numerals one through thirty-one. Small pieces of opaque material which will adhere to the sheet are sized to overlie any abbreviation of the name of the days of the week, any abbreviation for the months of the year, and any numerals between one and thirty-one within the matrix so that any calendar date can be readily indicated on the calendar by adhering the pieces of opaque material to the rear of the transparent letters and numerals within the matrix defining the particular month and name of day abbreviations and the day of the month. |

A perpetual calendar operated by finger pressure wherein there is a base portion formed with horizontal grooves and including an overlay covering said base, the overlay has horizontal rows of etched transparent indicia. A plurality of slidable color plates are appropriately mounted in said grooves and when moved under said etched transparent indicia, visual registration of the specific transparent indicia is accomplished. The invention also includes color plate propelling means associated with the color plates extending exteriorly of said base and overlay for finger movement to slide the color plates into appropriate registry. |
