| PURPOSE: To automatically and exactly count an elastic ring, to save labor and to reduce the cost of a product by smoothly inserting the elastic ring into the spiral groove of a screw shaft one by one, successively conveying the elastic ring from the tip of the screw shaft and detecting the quantity of the elastic rings. CONSTITUTION: By supplying an elastic ring A to a base end side while rotating a screw shaft 2 in a specified direction (direction in which a spiral groove 2a is fed to a tip side), the elastic ring A in one part is smoothly inserted into the spiral turning 2a of the screw shaft. At such a time, respective partitioning rollers 21 in contact with the screw 2 are rotated in a reverse direction with the rotation of the screw shaft 2. One part out of the elastic rings A which are not smoothly inserted into the spiral groove 2a since they are hung on a spiral projection, crossed or double entangled, is an contact with the vertical wall of the first partitioning roller 21 and smoothly inserted into the spiral groove 2a.
