7 Device for decelerating recoil of moving part of fire arm JP13159593 1993-06-02 JPH0650696A 1994-02-25 GATHOYE JEAN-LOUIS
PURPOSE: To greatly improve safety in actuation with a simple structure by decelerating the recoil of moving parts of a fire arm comprising a casing having the moving parts, which supports a mobile barrel and a striker. CONSTITUTION: When discharged, moving parts 3 receive a recoiling force F generated by pressure and transfer this tensile force to a stopper 6 of a lever 1 through a surface 5. The lever 1 turns centering on a hinged shaft 2, pushes a surface 8 of a barrel 4 through a stopper 9 and supports the barrel 4 rearward. Accordingly, the recoil of the moving parts 3 is decelerated not only by the mass of the moving parts 3 themselves but also by the mass of the barrel 4. When recoiling commences, the barrel 4 is moved backward in a speed lower than the moving parts 3 as can be logically represented by a ratio L2 /L1 of distances of the stoppers 6, 9 from the shaft 2, respectively. Thus, the moving parts 3 and the barrel 4 are able to have minimum and normal wear.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize and lighten the weight of a control unit for guiding a piston rod for operating a closing wedge. SOLUTION: The control unit 11 is provided with a changeover rod 13 and a detent pawl 17, a cam 16 is fitted inside a notch 18 of a control rod, and the cam press-fits the detent pawl in the inside of a lock groove 19 of the changeover rod at the initial position of the control rod 15. The changeover rod cannot slide axially, the control rod slides in the direction of an opening part of a gun barrel 3, and the cam swings the detent pawl so as to come out from the lock groove. The lengths of the piston rod 8 and the changeover rod are so selected that, when the gun barrel 3 advances, the closing wedge 7 moves to a position already opened by the axial sliding of the rods 8 and 13, and then the control cam 10 brings about the sliding of the control rod and the swinging of the detent pawl toward the release position. 11 Self loading firearm JP22486288 1988-09-09 JPH0217392A 1990-01-22 DEBITSUDO EDOWAADO SUMISU
PURPOSE: To facilitate decomposition and assembly of a self loading firearm, by permitting release of a lock block by means of hold open means only at the time that a breech block slide is sufficiently held at a retracted position. CONSTITUTION: When a breech block slide B is held at the retracted position by means of a slide portion hold open engaging fitting E, a frontward and downward inclination angle G3 of an open engaging fitting G is removed from an end portion 13 of a locking engaging fitting and an arm E1 is removed from a frame recessed portion A5. A stud E15 is inserted on a locking block lug F14 and a lug 14 and an entire end portion of a locking block F are pushed down. Then, a barrel lug C8 is moved in a frontward direction on the rear portion of the locking block F, and the barrel C is removed from the slide B and the pistol. In this manner, when only the barrel is necessary, it can be easily removed from the firearm. COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO

19 Automatic weapon with recoiling barrel EP00310177.1 2000-11-16 EP1102022A3 2002-07-24 Rossier, Glenn E.; Steimke, David L.; Hayes, Larry W.; Forrester, Victor

An automatic projectile firing weapon and a related method for absorbing the recoil force of an automatic projectile firing weapon are disclosed. The weapon includes a barrel assembly that is slidably mounted in a receiver, biased by an operating spring, and engageable with a main sear. A gas operated bolt assembly is slidably mounted within the barrel assembly and is driven by a bolt spring. A trigger is provided to release the main sear and allow the operating spring to move the barrel assembly forwardly in the receiver. There is further provided a buffer connected between the receiver and the barrel assembly to dampen the velocity of the barrel assembly to ensure the barrel assembly is moving at a predetermined maximum velocity when a round is fired at a predetermined firing position. The recoil energy from the fired round is absorbed mainly by the forward motion of the barrel assembly and in part by the operating spring and buffer. In this manner, the peak recoil load to the receiver is minimized and the weapon operates at its actual firing rate from the first shot.
