The invention relates to an arrangement for opening the dust flaps (9a, 9b) of a hand gun. Said arrangement comprises a lock (1) which is moveably arranged in the housing (3) in the longitudinal direction of the hand gun and which can be mounted in the hand gun in at least two different ways. The arrangement also comprises an ejection device (17, 19) that is coupled to the lock (1). The ejection device (17, 19) ejects the cartridges from ejector openings (7a, 7b) at the housing in the direction of one or the other side of the hand gun according to the arrangement of the lock (1). Dust flaps (9a, 9b) are moveably arranged at the ejector openings. When the dust flaps (9a, 9b) are open, the cartridges can be ejected from the ejector openings (7a, 7b) in an unhindered manner. When the dust flaps (9a, 9b) are closed, the ejector openings (7a, 7b) are also closed. The lock serves as means (1, 15, 21) which enables the dust flaps (9a, 9b) to open automatically, whereby said lock is configured in such a way that it only opens the dust flap (9a, 9b) which is arranged in the direction in which the cartridges are ejected as a result of the respective mounting mode while the gun is being reloaded. | ||||||
