A hook device (1) for attachment to a rod-shaped object (2), comprising an engagement portion (4) for cooperation with the rod-shaped object (2) and at least one hook portion (3), wherein the hook device (1) in operation is adjustable between a retracted position and an extended position. The engagement portion (4) has a first seat with which the rod-shaped object (2) is arranged to engage in the retracted position and a second seat with which the rod-shaped (2) the object is adapted to engage in the extended position. The hook device (1) is adapted to be freely slidable in an unloaded state and to be locked relative to the rod-shaped object (2) in a loaded state by the frictional connection between the surfaces (7,8) defining the second seat and the rod-shaped object. The invention also relates to the use of a hook device. |
