PURPOSE: To enable execution of floating fire and to enhance the efficiency of firing of a firearm by providing an ammunition chamber which is located between a breech and a barrel and rotates around the axis of rotation of the ammunition chamber and an ammunition supply means which is supported by the breech and a rear box and supplies ammunition to the ammunition chamber. CONSTITUTION: An ammunition chamber 20 rotates around the axis of a longitudinal shaft 22 extending in parallel to a barrel 10 and the opposite end parts in the axial direction are supported by a breech 16 and a sleeve support 14 respectively. An ammunition supply means is provided in the rear of the breech 16 and it comprises an ammunition holding star 28, an insertion carriage 32 and a feed screw 34. The ammunition holding star 28 is supported by a rotating shaft 30 extending in parallel to the barrel 10, while the insertion carriage 32 conducts reciprocating linear motion parallel to the barrel 10 with the rotation of the feed screw 34. The breech 16, the barrel 10, the ammunition chamber 20 and the ammunition supply means are all supported on a common rigid structure as a part of a reaction part, and therefore floating fire wherein ammunition is fired even before the reaction part returns to a position of firing of the ammunition is enabled.

11 Dummy cylinder for a revolver US14816797 2015-08-03 US09500431B2 2016-11-22 Robert Neale Lyman
A dummy cylinder for a revolver that permits dry fire practice but does not permit the insertion of live ammunition. The dummy cylinder approximately duplicates the outer dimensions of a normal cylinder so that it may replace the normal cylinder for safer training. It may use the extractor and ratchet of the revolver or may be constructed to simulate the dimensions of those parts. It may contain integral firing-pin cushioning devices, or may be constructed to allow the insertion of such devices while preventing the insertion of live ammunition.

15 Extractor for a revolver US10774666 2004-02-09 US07263795B1 2007-09-04 Brett Curry
An extractor for the removal of cartridges from the cylinder bores of a revolver. The extractor includes an extractor plate having a plurality of arms extending radially outward from an inner portion of the plate. The arms form an inner surface between adjacent arms. The inner surface substantially conforms to the profile of a bore of the cylinder and has an arc length that is greater than one-half the circumference of a cartridge disposed within the cylinder bores of the revolver. The inner surface contacts the rim of a cartridge and facilitates the removal of the cartridge from the bore. The inner surface may also include a beveled edge and the arms may have convex or concave end portions. The extractor also includes a tubular stem mounted to the inner portion of the extractor plate.

17 Revolver cylinder and extractor assembly US571934 1984-01-19 US4541193A 1985-09-17 George F. Flippin
An improved cylinder and extractor assembly for use in a revolver comprising a cylinder having a central longitudinal chamber and a plurality of longitudinal cartridge chambers at uniformly spaced intervals thereabout and including radial slots at the rear of the cylinder providing communication between the central chamber and each of the cartridge chambers. An extractor assembly, centrally disposed in the central chamber, includes an extractor member having circumferentially spaced radial projections each one of which may be disposed in one of the radial slots at the rear of the cylinder for engagement with the groove of a cartridge. The extractor member is axially movable from a first position, within the central chamber to a second position substantially rearwardly of the central chamber, to force cartridges from the cartridge chambers.
18 Revolver cylinder for the ejection of rimless cartridge cases US585697 1975-06-10 US4015356A 1977-04-05 Gilbert Maillard
Revolver cylinder provided with a mechanism for the ejection of rimless cartridge casings, and a revolver incorporating such cylinder. The ejector has a head with a plurality of part-circular cutout portions which are disposed in alignment with the chambers in the cylinder. Each of such cutout portions in the head has a peripheral groove in which there is disposed a generally part-circular leaf spring which is adapted to fit within the annular groove in the rear end of the cartridge casing and to engage the casing at two diametrically opposed zones.
19 Cartridge or cartridge case ejectors for revolver cylinders US553788 1975-02-27 US3982346A 1976-09-28 Andre Pilorget
An ejector for ejecting catridge cases from the cylinder of a revolver, comprises a pin for which the center of the revolver cylinder serves as a guide. A star-shaped disc is secured to this pin; and a flexible annular element whose outer edges are smoothed off, projects slightly from the bottom of each of the notches in the star-shaped disc. The annular element is secured to the disc against removal from the disc in a direction lengthwise of the pin; but the annular element can retract into the notches, so that when rimmed cartridges are introduced into the chambers of the revolver cylinder, the annular element retracts into the notches and slides along the cartridges. But when grooved cartridges are introduced into the cylinder chambers, the annular element retracts into the notches as the cartridges pass but projects again and penetrates into the cartridge grooves as soon as the cartridge grooves are situated in front of the annular element.

Disclosed is a revolver including a frame having an opening and a barrel. A yoke pivotally carried by the frame, in turn, pivotally carries a cylinder for movement therewith between positions within the frame opening and to one side of the frame. The cylinder carries an extractor biased forwardly by a spring for retention adjacent the rear face of the cylinder. The cylinder also carries a centerpin biased rearwardly by a spring to provide a locking projection at its rear end for engagement in an aperture in the breech face of the revolver frame. The forward end of the centerpin carries a cylinder extractor thumbpiece and an extractor rod, connected to the extractor, encompasses the centerpin forwardly on the cylinder. When the cylinder lies within the frame opening, the extractor rod lies within a channel formed on the side of the barrel. The forward end face of the channel is undercut to provide a recess. The rear face of the extractor thumbpiece is counterbored and the thumbpiece is releasably locked within said recess. To release the cylinder and operate the extractor, the centerpin is axially displaced in a forward direction by a thumbpiece on the side of the frame to release the rear locking projection of the centerpin and the extractor thumbpiece from the barrel enabling the cylinder to swing out from the frame opening. Movement of the extractor thumbpiece rearwardly displaces the extractor from the cylinder and extracts cartridges from the chambers of the cylinder. When the cylinder is moved into the frame opening after loading and into its firing position, the centerpin is cammed forwardly to align the extractor thumbpiece with the end face of the channel and the rear locking projection with the locking aperture in the frame whereupon the centerpin is displaced rearwardly by its spring to lock the centerpin at both its front and rear ends.
