PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an orthodontic apparatus in which the defect of a conventional fixed orthodontic apparatus is canceled and a treatment effect is further improved, and novel orthodontic technology using the same.
SOLUTION: An orthodontic mouthpiece A is formed by integrally providing a guide 10 for correcting the dentition of an upper jaw and a guide 20 for correcting the dentition of a lower jaw. The guide 10 for correcting the dentition of the upper jaw and the guide 20 for correcting the dentition of the lower jaw are formed to respectively settle the dentition of the upper jaw composed of the fore dentition of the upper jaw and the right and left dentitions of the upper jaw and the dentition of the lower jaw composed of the fore dentition of the lower jaw and the right and left dentition of the lower jaw in the state of chewing the orthodontic mouthpiece A with the teeth of the upper jaw and the teeth of the lower jaw. In the correction of the simply disordered dentition, convenience is improved in comparison with a case that the orthodontic guides are formed while being divided for the corresponding dentitions, and since a space adjusting means for the divided parts is not provided, a sense of incompatibility in the mouth during wearing can be reduced therefor.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |

PURPOSE: To make it possible to provide the original functions to a template, to exert properly a magnetic force to the brain to quicken the circulation of the blood and to obtain such effects as dissolution of stress and making the work of the brain better by fixing permanent magnets brought into contact with both ends of connecting fixtures of left and right mating parts.
CONSTITUTION: Magnets 20 and 22 are respectively fixed on both ends of a horseshoe-shaped connecting fitment 16 connecting between left and right mating parts 12 and 14 based on upper and lower back teeth. For example, two magnets each formed into a long plate-like shape are placed in such a way that the N pole of the magnet 20 and the S pole of the magnet 22 are connected each other on the connecting fitment and are buried into a mating part made of a resin material so as not to be exposed outside. The magnets are placed thereby at the nearest position to the brain without being obstructed with bones to make a proper magnetic line of force penetrate blood vessels and cells in the brain and the head and dissolution of stress and making the work of the brain better can be performed by quickening the circulation of the blood.

PURPOSE: To prevent an orthodontics tool being off by the way that an upper and lower isthmus portions are separated in the front end of a tool, and the rear end of the tool is connected to each other, and a hinge type connector is formed between the two portions.
CONSTITUTION: The tool is divided along the central dividing line 25, an upper slender concave 12 is in an upper portion 26 having a solid bottom surface 28, and a lower slender concave 14 is made to enter into a lower part 30 having an upper surface 32. A slit is extended to only a part of the tool, a front end 38 of the upper portion 26 and a front end 40 of the lower portion 30 are separated to each other, therefore, a hinge device 34 for connection is formed in the rear end 36 of the tool. The bottom surface 28 of the upper portion 26 and the upper surface 32 of the lower portion 30 are not fully extended until the rear of the hinge device 34, a space part 42 in the center of the hinge device located in these two walls is remained, and when the tool is in the mouth of a user, this space plays a role of air passage for the user's breathe through the space.

PURPOSE: To correct the upper and lower jaws in their appropriate frontal and rear positions by composing an orthodontic appliance to correct jaw positions of an operational part having thin grooves to receive teeth of upper and lower jaws and a non-operational part applied to the operational part with a joint.
CONSTITUTION: An appliance 10 applicable to a child of approx. 12 to 20 months old is made of plastic and composed of two U-shaped thin grooves 14 and 16 separated with a sheet 18, in which the thin grooves are equipped with operational parts 12 opening adversely to receive the upper and lower baby teeth. The thin grooves extend backward to rear ends 20 and 22 placing a little backward to the infantile canine and have a lip side wall 24 and a tongue side wall 26. The appliance 10 has a non-operational part 28 to cover up front of the lip in order not to get clogged in the mouth. A guard part 30 looking like a dummy for an infant is to help a child to move on to the appliance from a dummy. A grip 34 is applied in the guard part 30 to make it easier to take and put in the mouth.

PURPOSE: To prevent the exertion of a pressure even at the time the biting force acts, to assist the elongation of the teeth and to correct an open bite by inserting soft and elastic materials in molars in the form of biting these materials therebetween and disposing slits in a perpendicular direction in permanent anterior teeth.
CONSTITUTION: This dental orthodontic position adjusting device is formed to a U shape and has upper grooves 12 to receive the maxillary teeth and lower grooves 14 for receiving the mandibular teeth. These grooves are formed of edges 16 which come into contact with lips and cheeks and edges 18 which come into contact with tongue. The grooves are connected with a web 20. The regions expanding to the incisor accepting part regions of narrow parts 20 and in some cases, to the canine receiving parts are provided with slits 22 in a perpendicular direction. The slits 22 in the perpendicular direction ensure that the pressure in the perpendicular direction does not act on the incisors (or canines) at the time a user bites the device. The orthodontic appliance is made of a moldable material having elasticity and since this appliance presses the molars, the appliance is bitten at a soft cushion with the molars at the time of coming into contact with the narrow parts in the molar regions.
