In one embodiment, the invention can be an oral care implement comprising a handle and a head. The head can be formed by a plurality of spaced-apart segments constructed of a rigid material and separated by a channel containing an elastomeric material. An elastomeric cleaning element comprising, a base portion and an upper portion extends form a front surface of the head. The elastomeric cleaning element extends from and is connected to the elastomeric material of the channel so that the base portion overlies a portion of each of the front surfaces of the segments on opposing sides of the channel. In another embodiment, the invention can be the elastomeric cleaning element itself, irrespective of the type of head in which it is incorporated. In yet another embodiment, the base portion can be tapered.

192 DEBRIDEMENT PASTE EP10790967.3 2010-12-14 EP2512402A2 2012-10-24 LYNGSTADAAS, S., Petter; HAUGEN, Håvard, J.
The present invention relates to a new and inventive composition for implant cleaning and/or debridement of hard surfaces in the oral cavity, which comprises optimally activated nanoparticles of TiO 2, having a mean particle diameter (D 50) of about 10-100 nm at a concentration between 0.5-500g/L, and H 2O 2, at a concentration of at the most 7.5% by volume, said composition being antibacterial, without causing microbial resistance, and anti-inflammatory, and wherein said composition further comprises solid microparticles, having a mean particle diameter (D 50) of about 100-200 μm at a concentration between 0.5-300 g/L, for improved mechanical debridement and/or cleaning of rough surfaces in the oral cavity and/or on an implant.
193 Toothbrush charging station with brush storage device EP08021498.4 2008-12-11 EP2196168A1 2010-06-16 Vu, Phong; Kunath, Ivo; Haas, Martin; Schaefer, Norbert; Hilscher, Alexander

The present invention relates to a storage device for tooth cleaning attachments, in particular attachment brushes, of a tooth cleaning device, which can be coupled onto or uncoupled from a hand-held part of the tooth cleaning device, comprising a storage body for holding the tooth cleaning attachments to be stored. The invention further relates to a charging station for the tooth cleaning device comprising such a storage device. According to the invention, the storage body of the storage device has a storage base with at least one storage depression for receiving a tooth cleaning attachment in flat-lying alignment. As a result, any tight clamping and corresponding clamping means or positive retaining means such as mandrels and the like on the storage body can be dispensed with. Due to the flat-lying storage in conjunction with the storage depressions, stable positioning of the tooth cleaning attachments is nevertheless obtained. At the same time, the handling for the user is very much simpler since accurate threading-on is unnecessary. In addition, the storage base is substantially easier to clean than a retaining device with mandrels.
