PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grommet capable of generating substantially equal interval between a head and a support member or energizing force independently from thickness of the support member.
SOLUTION: This grommet inserted into a non-circular receiving hole of the thin plate support member is provided with a shank and a flangelike head part. When the shank is snap-inserted into the receiving hole, the head part is sealed and engaged with an opposing face of the support member. The shank adjacent to the head part has a shoulder on an opposing side in outer surroundings. Profile of the receiving hole and cross section of the shank are formed in such a way that the shoulder grips below a fringe of the receiving hole by rotation of the shank. The fringe of the receiving hole cooperates so as to clamp with an outer surface part of the shank between the shoulder and the head part. The outer surface part is inclined for a longitudinal axial line as approaching the head part so as to draw it into the receiving hole gradually during rotation.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attach a plastic nut to members having different thickness. SOLUTION: This plastic nut can be inserted into a penetraion together with a nut member having receiving hole for a screw and is provided with a flange for contact with one side of the member and a snap-on-hook for contact with the other side of the member. The snap-on-hook fixes the plastic nut to the member. In this case, the snap-on-hook is constituted in such a way that size in the radial direction at a loosening position agrees with inside diameter of the penetration and it covers the screw receiving hole when inserting a screw, is put in a widened condition, and is positioned for the member. A wall extending in the direction of expansion of the snap-on-hook is arranged adjacent to the snap-on-hook. The wall is extended from the flange to the nut member and has a thin-walled part. The thin-walled part is extended in a central part of the wall in the direction of expansion. The flange and the snap-on-hook come into contact with the member on both sides by bending the wall in the thin-walled part when tightening the screw. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw grommet capable of eliminating possibility of corotation and providing an attachment member with high retention force. SOLUTION: A screw grommet 15 is composed of a stem part 17 inserted into an attachment hole of the attachment member and a flange 18 formed larger than the attachment hole of the attachment member on one end of the stem part. A cavity 19 in which a tapping screw can be screwed in is formed on the stem part and the flange. The stem part 17 includes rectangular cross section to fit to a rectangular attachment hole of the attachment member. The flange 18 is divided from a part of the axle part up to a middle in an axial direction 7 by a plurality of axial direction slits 21. A pair of locking parts 25 is formed at a position separated from the flange 18 in the axial direction by a distance roughly equivalent to thickness of the attachment member and in a diagonal direction of the rectangular cross section on an outer circumference surface of the stem part 17. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the mounting accuracy, heighten the mounting strength, and establish a lightweigt construction by equipping a crankshaft at its end with a rotary coupling part to couple the crank in the rotating direction, and furnishing at least behind it, an aligning part for generating alignment of the crank. SOLUTION: An aligning part 52 is provided at each end of a crankshaft 5 in such a tapered shape as thinning toward the end, wherein the taper angle is 2-3deg. At that end part still nearer the extremity than the aligning part 52, male serration 51 having eight teeth is provided, and the outside surfaces of the teeth constitute a surface continued to the periphery of the aligning part 52. The tooth form of serration 51 is square and the two flanks are approx. parallel, and rattling is not likely because the coupling force in the rotating direction is received by the plane approx. perpendicular to the force applied. Female threads 53 for crank fixation are furnished on the end face of the crankshaft 5, and because of hollow pipe shape, the central part has a still smaller wall thickness. The adopted material of aluminum contributes to lightweight construction along with the hollow structure.

PURPOSE: To provide a plastic screw grommet reducing the insertion force to be inserted into the opening of a panel and capable of being inserted even when the thickness of the panel is changed. CONSTITUTION: This plastic screw grommet is provided with a shank 30 having a receiving hole to be screwed with a screw in it and a head flange 12 protruded from the periphery of the shank 30 at the open end section of the receiving hole. The head flange 12 is provided with four U-shaped slots extending in the radial direction.
