The invention relates to a tower for a wind power plant with walls, which are at least partially produced from individual wall sections of a wood-based material, wherein the wall sections are connected to one another by connecting means, and relates to a method for erecting such a tower. The object of the invention is therefore to provide a tower for a wind power plant which allows a greater rotor blade length while retaining the same height of the tower of the wind power plant and retaining the same projection of the rotor beyond the outside of the tower, as seen from the central axis of the tower. The object of the invention is achieved by at least partially providing inside the tower an empty frame, to which the wall sections are connected in a retaining manner, thus arranging the wall sections on the empty frame, and giving a surface line that is created by taking a vertical section through the tower wall formed by wall sections an inclination which increases with increasing height of the tower.
