A drill pipe tester valve includes a housing having a first end adapted to be connected to a well test string, which housing has a flow passage therethrough. A spherical valve member having a valve bore therethrough is disposed in the flow passage of the housing. Lugs are attached to the housing for engaging the spherical valve member and rotating the spherical valve member between open and closed positions as the spherical valve member is moved axially relative to the housing. A resilient coil compression spring is located above the spherical valve member, between the housing and the spherical valve member for automatically closing the spherical valve member when the well test string is statically positioned within a well, and for automatically opening the spherical valve member and allowing well fluid within the well to fill the well test string above the spherical valve member as the well test string is lowered into the well.

PURPOSE: To provide an auger which is suitable for continuous work and can save energy, because it is not required to extract the whole body of its inner casing pipe. CONSTITUTION: An auger is provided with an outer casing pipe 10 and an inner casing pipe 11 equipped with a spiral drill 30. The drill 30 transports an excavated material from the bottom of a bored hole to the next straight line section 32 to which the material is pushed up simultaneously with the condensation of the material. In order to prevent the occurrence of suction in the bottom section of the bored hole, the shank 30a of the drill 30 has a hole 3 having a check valve 38 arranged in the hole 36. The valve 38 is opened toward the bottom of the bored hole. The drill 30 is used for making pumping motions for feeding air into the bored hole through the inner casing pipe 11 and the air is used for supporting the transportation of the then excavated material.

PURPOSE: To improve a drilling work by forming a flushing passage connecting with each drilled portion in an eccentric rock drilling tool at the tip of a guide member rotating in a casing tube. CONSTITUTION: A drilling tool is provided that rotates and drives a guide member 10 for holding an eccentric bit 22 and a pilot bit 23 in a casing tube 11. Flushing medium passages 62, 63 are respectively provided for the member 10 and a shaft 21, and are branched to openings 64, 65, 68, 69 and longitudinal grooves 66, 67. The member 10 is provided with flushing grooves 70, 71 and an ejector opening 72 connecting to a passage 16. The flushing medium is made to flow from the front surface of the bit 22 to the groove 70 through a notch 73 and a shoulder portion 33, and a part of the medium is made to flow from a guide groove 74 to the groove 70. Mixture of the flushing medium and a drilled matter is made to flow out from the groove 71. Thus, heavy clay soil can be drilled effectively. COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO |
