The scraper in accordance with the present invention is preferably provided with a rotary body (4) provided with a discharge aperture (5), which body is rotatable relative to the auger axis by means of drive means (7, 8), thereby to urge the scraper into cutting relationship with spoil or debris disposed upon the auger flights (3).

The arrangement requires less power than has previously been required in cleaners of this type and is much less prone to jamming in severe conditions.

Bei einer Vorrichtung zur Entnahme von Bodenproben mit einer an einem Schlitten (10) drehbar gelagerten und mit diesem in Längsrichtung verschiebbaren Schraubsonde (17) wird der Beginn des Einschraubvorgangs dadurch erleichtert und der Schichtaufbau des Bodens besser wiedergegeben, daß eine Hubvorrichtung vorgesehen ist, welche den Schlitten (10) beim Einschrauben im Gleichlauf mit der sich aus der Steigung der Schraubnut und der Drehgeschwindigkeit ergebenden Vorschubbewegung bewegt. Ist die Hubvorrichtung ein hydraulischer Hubzylinder (6), so kann dieser mit einem rotierenden Hydraulikmotor (19) zum Drehantrieb der Sonde (17) hydraulisch in Reihe geschaltet sein. Mit weiteren hydraulischen Schaltelementen wird bewirkt, daß der rotierende Hydraulikmotor (19) beim Zurückziehen abgeschaltet wird, daß der Hydraulikzylinder (6) bei Auflaufen auf einen Widerstand stehenbleibt und der Motor weiterläuft oder daß dies bei einer bestimmten Eindringtiefe geschieht. Der gleiche Längs- und Drehantrieb bewegt die Schraubsonde (17) auch beim Räumen. Entsprechend der gemessenen Eindringtiefe wird die Zuordnung verschiedener Probengefäße (A, C) zu dem aus bestimmten Tiefenbereichen stammenden Probenmaterial gesteuert.
