7 EMBROIDERY DECORATION US14804326 2015-07-20 US20170022645A1 2017-01-26 Teng-Kuei CHEN
An embroidery decoration has an outer frame and a stitching plate. The stitching plate is detachably mounted in the outer frame. An outer periphery of the stitching plate abuts an inner periphery of the outer frame. The stitching plate has multiple through holes formed through the plate surfaces for needles and threads to directly pass through for stitching on the stitching plate. After stitching, the outer frame, the stitching plate and the thread on the stitching plate form the end product. The stitching plate is solid in a fixed shape, thereby eliminating the problem of loosening and facilitating convenience in stitching. The embroidery decoration is mainly composed of two components made by plastic injection molding, such that the manufacturing cost is reduced.
8 Devices for holding fabrics during embroidering US14599346 2015-01-16 US09340913B1 2016-05-17 Mansukhlal K. Gala; Amar M. Gala
Embroidering apparatus comprises an inner hoop and a circumscribing outer hoop which captures and holds fabric firmly in place. An outer hoop has a closure at the gap/split location. Closures variously comprise springs that urge the split-ends of the hoop toward one another. Sleeves around gap-adjusting rods and gauge bars provide visual indicators display the amount of gap or spring compression, to enable quick adjustment and pre-setting of the outer hoop dimension. A fixture for holding an element that is small than the bore of the hoop is mounted on an inner hoop by means of magnetic or spring-tabs. One fixture comprises two spaced apart rail assemblies, each having a hinged and slotted cover.

The stand is adapted for selectively supporting one of the craft hoop sets above a surface such as the lap of a user. The craft hoop sets are removably securable together such that the hoops may be used separately.
10 Fabric workpiece holder US428864 1999-10-26 US6154991A 2000-12-05 Janet F. Duncan; Roger M. Duncan
A fabric workpiece holder is described for holding workpieces for various craft activities such as quilting and embroidery. The workpiece holder consists of a rigid hoop having a circumferential groove on its outer surface, an elastic cord that wraps around the fabric workpiece after it has been draped over the rigid hoop, and engages the circumferential groove on the hoop, and a novel clamp that allows the user to securely tighten the elastic cord, and maintain the tension therein, holding the fabric workpiece to the hoop. A unique feature of the clasp is an indexing ridge on the back surface that engages the groove on the hoop through the fabric. The ends of the elastic cord slide into holes on either side of the clasp and when the cord is tightened the clasp, including the ridge, are pulled toward the hoop. One end of the elastic cord is knotted or otherwise enlarged retaining it in the clasp, and a locking groove is provided on the face of the clasp allowing the user to maintain tension in the elastic cord.
11 Gathering gauge US136253 1998-08-18 US5943974A 1999-08-31 Barbara Jones Hoag
A gathering gauge for assisting in the fabrication of a gather in a sewn article of manufacture. The gathering gauge is used to evenly distribute a given length of a fabric over a selected gather length, thereby eliminating guess work normally associated with such task. The gathering gauge is an elongated member defining a first slit for receiving and holding one end of a thread used to gather the fabric. A plurality of second slits is provided for receiving and holding a further portion of the thread. The second slits are disposed along the length of the gathering gauge at pre-selected distances from the first slit. A measuring guide is provided for determining the distance between the first slit and each individual second slit. Thus, depending upon the length of the fabric to be gathered, and either the length of the gather or the amount of gather desired, a particular second slit is selected.
12 Craft hoop assembly with gripping surface US679702 1996-07-11 US5722191A 1998-03-03 Robert Elliott Morgan
A craft hoop assembly for securing material on which a craft is to be performed comprises an inner hoop or ring having an outer surface and a split outer hoop or ring having an inner surface which is positionable in circumscribing alignment with the inner ring such that the inner surface of the outer ring generally abuts against the outer surface of the inner ring. A bead is integrally formed on either the inner surface of the outer ring or the outer surface of the inner ring. A corresponding groove is formed in the opposing surface of the inner or outer ring respectively. Projections, ridges or bumps are integrally formed on the inner surface of the outer ring or the outer surface of the inner ring or both to increase the gripping effect of the rings on fabric secured therebetween. The projections are preferably formed on said bead. The projections may be randomly arranged or arranged in specific patterns to enhance the gripping effect.
