An embroidery thread organizing card includes a thread organizing structure having a front panel and a back panel, a barcode provided on a front side of the front panel near one corner thereof for material management, and instruction information provided on a rear side of the back panel showing things to be noted during embroidering; a plurality of information zones provided on the front side of the front panel; and a plurality of embroidery thread groups having number and location corresponding to that of the information zones and being clamped at an end to the thread organizing structure. Each of the information zones shows a thread color sample and information related to the use of the corresponding embroidery thread group. A user picking a thread for embroidery can at the same time obtain information related to the picked thread, so as to avoid using wrong thread and to embroider efficiently. |

The invention is directed to a support for a pattern in front of a person in the process of doing embroidery work. This process involves a two-handed process will doing embroidery or other work while at the same time displaying the pattern from which the work at hand progresses. To this end, there is a support to display the pattern in substantially the eye sight of the person doing the embroidery. The support may clamped to an arm chair of an upholstered piece of furniture at home or the upper thigh of a leg when the upholstered piece of furniture is not available such as in the waiting room of a physician or others. The support device can be clamped to a substantially circular structure and carries a display device for a pattern of the work in progress. The support device has either a flexible support rod or one that is rigid. In either case the hands of the person performing the task of embroidery or other work are free to move at will. |

The invention is directed toward an embroidery and aid assembly that is made up of a plate having an aperture therein. A magnifying glass is mounted over the aperture and maintained over the base plate at a slight spacing so that an embroidery pattern can slipped under the magnifying glass and over the base plate. The bottom of the magnifying glass has a sight line thereon so that a reader can clearly see the stitch progression and clearly identify a particular line on the pattern in the process of stitching. The bottom plate has various ways of retaining embroidery implements thereon, thus making it an assembly, while the magnifying glass is an aid to the embroidery process. A bag is designed to contain the above noted embroidery assembly, thus making it kit. The bag has on one edge thereof a hook to hang the bag at a point of sale. Another edge of the bag has a zipper thereon, while the opposite edge of the zipper edge has a pocket fold thereon to enable the bag to expand to a larger size. |

A collapsible support structure supports a frame in a horizontal position, a vertical position or an intermediate position halfway between the horizontal and the vertical position. The support structure is adjustable in all positions of the frame to position the frame at different heights depending on a particular need. The frame is held by a clamping assembly which can accommodate various designs and sizes of frames. The support structure can be switched from an open position where it supports the frame in a variety of positions to a collapsed position where the overall size of the support structure is minimized to simplify the transportation and storage of the support structure. |

A machine for performing needlepoint or the like wherein successive loops of a single strand of yarn or the like are inserted through fabric, the machine including a carriage mounted for slidable movement in a given direction, the carriage having an indexable open framework roller mounted thereon, the roller being adapted to support a fabric for receiving the yarn. First and second members are pivotally mounted about a common axis within the machine, each of the members having arm portions extending toward the roller and adapted for insertion through the fabric carried thereby. The arm of the first member is configured in the shape of a needle having an eye adapted to receive the yarn therethrough, the needle arm being channel-shaped in cross section for selectively receiving the arm of the other member in abutting sliding relation, the free end of the arm of the second member being notched. A double-faced cam disc is interposed between the first and second members, the disc being rotatable by a hand crank and having guideways formed in opposing surfaces for matingly coacting with cam follower projections on each of the first and second members. The cam guideways are configured so that upon rotation of the crank the needle with the yarn is inserted through the fabric, the notched portion of the other arm slidably engages the needle arm while so positioned to retain the loop within the fabric, the needle arm is withdrawn from the fabric, the other arm is moved laterally while engaging the fabric to increment the roller, the needle arm then inserts another loop of yarn, and the notched arm is then withdrawn to thereby continuously loop a single strand of yarn within the fabric. |
