The invention relates to a method of arranging flat plate-like components at a prepared arrangement location within a textile web of a textile machine. The flat plate-like components are connected by a flexible carrier at a fixed distance from each other so as to form a linear arrangement. The method comprises the steps of providing the linear arrangement of flat plate-like components to a thread tying location on a textile machine along a longitudinal axis, working the flexible carrier into the textile web so that part of the carrier emerges from the prepared arrangement location of the textile web in a free-floating manner and the plate is positioned at a distance upstream of the thread tying location on the textile machine. The floating carrier is then pulled so that the plate passes through the thread tying location of the textile machine and is placed at the prepared arrangement location within the textile web. The plate is then secured in the prepared arrangement location in the textile web by tying the prepared arrangement location. |

Woven pocketed curtain tape has spaced pockets which extend across the major part of its width. The base fabric between the pockets is woven from weft threads and two sheets of warp threads. The pockets are defined by ribs formed by a number of weft threads grouped together. The base fabric of the pockets is formed by the weft threads woven with one sheet of warp threads over the whole width of the tape. The cover fabric of the pockets is woven from the other sheet of warp threads and the weft threads over only a portion of the width of the tape. A number of tapes may be woven contiguously in a single fabric and then separated by cutting.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a header tape to be fixed along the upper edge of a curtain, etc., dispensing with the separate production of a loop material and a header tape and nevertheless capable of keeping a desired loop length.
SOLUTION: This header tape 2 for curtain, etc., has loops 1 for hook-and- loop fasteners in discontinuously separated loop-forming areas 6. The loop is formed by a part 9a of a warp 9. The back surface of the tape 2 is coated with an adhesive exclusively at the loop-forming areas 6 to fix the loop to the tape 2. Consequently, the area 7 other than the loop-forming area has original flexibility to facilitate the formation of gathers 2a. The cords 3, 4, 5 for forming gathers 2a are made of a material unbondable by the adhesive.

A three-dimensional woven fabric including front layer, rear layer, and light-shielding layer connecting front layer to rear layer and a method thereof are disclosed. The light-shielding layer is formed by repeatedly overlapping first, second, and third light-shielding layers with another light-shielding layer with adjacent ones among the first to the third light-shielding layers overlapped. The front layer includes front parts formed by weaving front layer wrap threads and weft threads, the front parts have front layer-connecting parts formed by sequentially and repeatedly weaving front layer wrapwrap threads and weft threads and light-shielding layer wrap threads, the rear layer includes rear layer-connecting parts formed by weaving sequentially and repeatedly the rear layer wrap threads and weft threads and light-shielding layer wrap threads. The light-shielding layers are formed by weaving light-shielding layer wrap threads and the weft threads, and the light-shielding layers are sequentially and repeatedly connected to front layer-connecting parts and rear layer-connecting parts. Three-dimensional shapes are implemented without adhesive. Various designs and light-shielding control are available. |

A curtain heading tape for use with draw curtains or the like, the tape having pockets on one face and at least three draw cords in the tape. The pockets are spaced in rows at different transverse distances from the edges of the tape, whereby the tape can be attached to a curtain at different specific heights of the curtain above the level of the suspension hooks.

A loom having weft insertion means in the form of three pivotally mounted arcuate members which lay loops of weft in a weft shed, and also having selvedge knitting means reciprocable alongside the warp shed. Two of the arcuate inserting members lay loops of weft in a split shed which is used for producing body tape and the third arcuate inserter is used for laying weft in a shed created for the production of pockets on the body tape. The two wefts laid in the body are brought together at an edge remote from insertion for the knitting therethrough of a catch thread to form a knitting selvedge, while the pocket weft loops are themselves knitting together to form interdigitated loops with or without a catch thread.

A header tape for curtains or the like has loops for a hook and loop fastener woven at discrete, spaced apart regions. The loops are formed from the warp threads. The back of the tape is coated only in the regions, for fixing the loops, so that the intervening regions remain flexible for gathering. Gathering cords are of a material which will not be adhered to by the adhesive. |

A heading tape for a curtain of the type which has part of the curtain extending upwardly from the suspension hooks. The curtain heading tape provided by the present invention prevents the upwardly extending part of the curtain from folding downwardly and resulting in an unsightly appearance. The curtain heading tape comprises core yarn disposed weft wise to give transverse stiffness to the tape, at least two spaced apart tubes forming a part of the tape and disposed warp-wise thereof for accommodating draw cords at intervals along said tape. The tubes include a continuous filament yarn in the warp-wise direction, and the continuous filament warp yarn is of sufficient stiffness to stiffen in the warpwise direction at least those parts of the tubes accommodating draw cords.

A curtain heading tape in which lateral stiffness is provided by using, as a weft in the body of the fabric, a composite yarn consisting of a core of relatively stiff synthetic yarn around which is wrapped at least one other yarn, whereby the composite yarn so formed has a surface characteristic such that any tendency of warp yarns to slip relative to the weft yarns when the fabric is woven is prevented or substantially reduced due to the uneven surface of the composite yarn.
