PURPOSE: To obtain the subject apparatus having a separating member for distancing a spindle driving belt from a spindle wharve, capable of gradually starting a spindle when piecing is carried out so as not to apply an excessive stress to yarn. CONSTITUTION: A separating apparatus 19 has at least three operation positions and is located by bringing a driving lever 22 into contact with two stopping members and by a contact member 26 of a sleeve 25. The first operation position is the normal drawing in which a driving belt 12 is completely brought into contact with a spindle wharve 11 to draw a spindle 20, the second operation position is an intermediate position in which the driving belt 12 is partially in contact with the spindle wharve 11 and the third position is a complete separation of the driving belt 12 from the spindle wharve 11. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a funnel unit for a spinning apparatus, which improves a funnel unit capable of being disposed on the funnel support plate 3 of a spinning apparatus equipped with a funnel 4 for guiding a yarn and concentrically surrounding the yarn-receiving region 1 of a spindle 2, has a relatively simple and compact structure, is little worn, can simply be maintained, gives the large number of revolution in a small consumption energy, and has a funnel capable of being driven or braked. SOLUTION: This funnel unit for the spinning apparatus is characterized in that a peripheral wall 13 capable of being at least indirectly bound to a funnel-supporting plate 3 concentrically surrounds at least a bearing casing 11 through a space in the radial direction, and is bound to the bearing casing through cushion members 14a, 14b at a distance at least in the radial direction and in the axial direction, whereby at least the funnel 4, a shaft 6, a rotor 8, a driving casing 9, a stator 10 and the bearing casing 11 are separated from the peripheral wall 13 and the funnel-supporting plate 3. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spinning apparatus which can process a remarkably different yarn or twisted yarn. SOLUTION: This spinning apparatus for selective hopper spinning and loop spinning has a spindle (2) having a yarn-receiving region (1) and equipped with at least one single motor-type driving device (Ms), and a hopper (4) used for guiding a yarn (3) on the inside and equipped with at least another single motor type driving device (M T). The hopper (4) is formed to coaxially surround the yarn-receiving region (1), and the spindle (2) and the hopper (4) can mutually relatively be moved in the axial direction. A yarn guide (5) incapable of being activated is responded and disposed on the inside of the hopper (4) to guide the yarn (3) to be supplied to the spindle (2).
