In the event there is no match between the preset genre names and the one in the metadata, then the selected preset will be "Generic." This particular genre preset is designed for optimal sound across many genres, making it generic.

An earmuff assembly with a double-shell structure is disclosed for use with a sound-attenuating circumaural headset. The earmuff assembly comprises a cup-shaped outer shell mounted on a resilient outer sealing ring and a cup-shaped inner shell mounted on a resilient inner sealing ring. By means of the two sealing rings the outer and the inner shells are brought into abutment with the head surface around an ear of a wearer. Both shells are structurally rigid. The sound attenuation performance is maximized by isolating the inner shell from the outer shell. The two sealing rings are interconnected through a thin skin layer of soft compliant materials, which acts as a vibration isolating/decoupling means between the outer shell and the inner shell.

The poor correlation between said objective quality signal and a subjective quality signal to be assessed by human observers can be considerably improved by reducing, in a differential arrangement, present in the combining circuit, for determining the difference between the two series circuit signals, said difference by a certain value, preferably as a function of a series circuit signal, and the poor correlation can be further improved by disposing a scaling circuit between the two series circuits for scaling at least one series circuit signal, it is furthermore also possible to scale the quality signal as a function of said scaling arrangement.
