| PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in the prior art that ink jet printed matter can not be preserved for a long term since light resistance of a water-soluble aqueous azo dyestuff in ink is extremely decreased by photocatalytic action of a ceramic fine powder and adsorption and concentration of a very small quantity of SOx and NOx gases, the ceramic fine powder being applied to a paper exclusively used for ink jet to prevent an ink spread in an ink jet printing method. SOLUTION: The aqueous ink contains a novel water-soluble dyestuff obtained by introducing a sulfo group to a quinone dyestuff (organic pigment/vat dyestuff) showing excellent light resistance and oxidation resistance against SOx and NOx gases. The aqueous ink applied to the paper exclusively used for ink jet also shows as good light resistance as that of a toner of an electrophotographic type laser printer. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO | ||||||
