81 DEVICES FOR USE DURING PHYSICAL ACTIVITY EP09821129 2009-10-13 EP2348905A4 2013-12-18 ORLOFF GLENNIS J
A garment to be positioned about one or more body portions of a person performing a physical activity comprises a garment region having a garment region elasticity and a training region having a training region elasticity, the garment region stretching a greater distance as the result of an applied force than the training region under the same applied force. The training region at least partially defines a tensioning system of a biofeedback device. The biofeedback device is configured to provide sensory cues (e.g., feedback forces) to the person performing a physical activity when the person's biomechanic position is sub-optimal, the sensory cues indicating to the person that their biomechanic position is sub-optimal and indicating to the person how to adjust their one or more body portions towards a more optimal biomechanic position. The garment may provide for training and help the person achieve optimal biomechanic motion.
82 BOTTOM CLOTHES EP05820172 2005-12-21 EP1884169A4 2008-11-19 SUDO MAI; SAKA RISA
A girdle (1) as bottom clothes, wherein when the legs of the wearer are moved backward while the wearer is walking, a forward load is given to the gluteus maximus (E) of the wearer by a first tightening part (10). Since a reflective muscle action (irritation of muscle) to resist the load acts on the gluteus maximus (E), the legs are moved more backwards and the waist of the wearer is twisted largely to the rear side. Also, a forward load is applied to the gluteus medius (F) raised by the rearward twisting of the waist by a second tightening part (20) and the waist is twisted largely to the front side. Since the groups of the abdominal muscles of the wearer are consequentially trained by the promotion of the twisting motion of the waist, a shape-up effect on the periphery of the abdominal region of a wearer can be provided even if the wearer does not intentionally perform exercises.

According to the present girdle 1, when a wearer walks and a leg is moved backward, a forward load is applied to gluteus maximus muscle E by a first tightening portion 10. Then, a reflective action of a muscle (muscle stimulation) to resist this load acts on the gluteus maximus muscle E, and then the leg is moved further backward, resulting in a wearer's waist being twisted backward greatly. Further, a forward load is applied to elevated gluteus medius muscle F by this backward waist twisting by a second tightening portion 20, resulting in the waist being twisted forward this time. Then, such a waist twisting motion is enhanced, which necessarily trains the wearer's groups of abdominal muscles, and a shape-up effect of the periphery of abdominal region may be obtained without the wearer performing intentional exercises.

The invention relates to an article and a method of manufacturing clothing which comprises stretchable fabric. Resin suitable for constraining elongation is densely and loosely distributed in predetermined local parts of the objective clothing in a range from such local parts requiring intense force for constraining elongation to such local parts requiring less intense force for constraining elongation. The clothing of the invention proportionally constrains elongation at predetermined local parts, shapes up the body line of the wearer by locally varying the elongation constraining force by way of gradation.
