PURPOSE: To obtain the smoking goods of a less incomplete combustion, and the more smaller content of a thermally decomposed product than a normal cigarette by composing them of a fuel element, the aerosol generating means containing an aerosol generating agent, the tobacco material surrounding the fuel element, or the jacket of a mixture consisting of the tobacco material and a thermal insulation fiber. CONSTITUTION: A fuel element 10 has a plurality of holes 16, and is surrounded by an elastic jacket 72. The elastic jacket 72 may be formed, e.g. by a heat insulation fiber such as a ceramic fiber or an incombustible carbon fiber or a graphite fiber. An aerosol generating means 12 consists of a porous carbonic body 13 having the holes 17 of a longitudinal one way direction, and an aerosol generating agent impregnated with or carried by the carbonic body. For example, the thermal insulation jacket 72 can be composed of the tobacco material or the mixture of the tobacco material and thermal insulation fiber. To use the tobacco material as a substitute for a thermal insulation material is advantageous for not only a function as a thermal insulation material but also adding an aroma upon the main flow of the aerosol, thus generates the side flow of a tobacco aroma. PURPOSE: To obtain an aerosol generating means for using a smoking goods by composing the means of the carrier containing a sintered alumina in a specified high temperature, and an aerosol generating agent composed of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen carried by the carrier. CONSTITUTION: Smoking goods have a fuel element 10 having a hole 16 toward a longitudinal one way direction, and the carrier 38 of the aerosol generating means is made of a thermally stable aluminum, and impregnated with an aerosol generating agent. A tobacco material inserting body 20 is arranged at the right rear of the carrier 38. A cylinder 40 has the ring member 42 surrounding a plastic cylinder 44, and a filter-plug 465 is fitted in a cigarette holding end 15. Alumina as a preferable carrier may be sintered at a very higher temperature than approximately 1,000°C, washed, and dried. When the alumina is sintered at the higher temperature than 1,000°C, the aerosol generating agent is not excessively held therein. That is, due to a porous alumina sintered by the higher temperature than 1,000°C provides a comparatively larger-sized pores, when glycerol held in the pores is heated up, it is easily released so that it does not reach to be pyrolyzed.
