A nestable mailbox (10) having a tapered body (12) with an open first end (24) and a second end (30). The tapering of the body (12) such that the first end (24) circumscribes a greater surface area than that circumscribed by the second end (30). A door (26) for the mailbox (10) is connected to the body (12) at the first end (24). The mailbox can then be nested with other like mailboxes by inserting the second end (30) of one mailbox into the first end (24) of another mailbox. The door of each mailbox in the nested arrangement can point downwardly frontwardly or downwardly rearwardly.
14 Locking means for a self-service device as well as self-locking latch and actuator means EP88111429.2 1988-07-15 EP0315735A1 1989-05-17 Hengstler, Ulrich, Dipl.-Ing.; Frank, Bruno, Dipl.-Ing.

For making the locking means 1 for the opening of a self-service device, in particular an automatic teller machine, water-repellent, a locking flap 7 is provided, the outside of which is indented 16. Locking flap 7, pivotable about axis 9, is positioned in the upper region behind a projecting wall panel 3 and in the lower region in front of a recessed wall panel 4. As gap 18 is opened, its width increases, so that any ice formed may be broken up or jammed objects are released automatically. The self-locking latch and actuator means 31, favourably designed according to the invention, uses an actuating lever 38 which is pivotable about axis 9. The actuating lever comprises a particularly shaped guide slot 37 which is engaged by the actuator means (32, 34, 35). In the first part 39 of the guide slot 37, no displacement work is performed by the actuator means, whereas in the second part 40, which is positioned at an angle to the first part 39, displacement work is performed in favourable directional association.

A non-foil barrier laminate structure (5) is provided that results in an improvement in shelf life performance of packaged food products over existing non-foil barrier laminates. Containers constructed from the barrier laminates of the invention can be hot filled or cold filled and can be stored at either ambient conditions or refrigerated conditions. The laminate structures have a polyamide layer (14) for mechanical strength and thermal resistance; a first EVOH layer (16) as a barrier to oxygen ingress applied in direct contact with the polyamide layer and a second barrier layer of EVOH, nylon or the like (24) positioned closer to the product's contact surface (28) that may act as a barrier to oxygen, water vapor, flavor/aroma, or a combination, which is not in contact with the first oxygen barrier layer of EVOH, and layers of polyolefin (12, 20) on both the matte side (interior) and the gloss side (exterior) of the laminate for heat sealing.

17 HOME DELIVERY BOX AND HOME DELIVERY BAGGAGE COLLECTING / DELIVERING SYSTEM AND METHOD THEREFOR EP02733467.1 2002-06-11 EP1396595A1 2004-03-10 Kaneko, Kikuo

Customers corresponding to a consignor sending a package and a consignee receiving the package install home delivery boxes at their homes, respectively. Information can be transmitted and received through a network between customer terminals and a terminal of a home delivery carrier delivering the package. When the consignor puts the package into the home delivery box at his/her home and then transmits information to the terminal of the home delivery carrier, the terminal of the home delivery carrier issues a memory card based on the information transmitted from the consignor. The home delivery carrier carrying the memory card can open a box door of the home delivery box to pick up the package from the home delivery box. On the other hand, the home delivery carrier transports the package to the home delivery box of the consignee. The home delivery carrier operates the memory card produced based on information transmitted from the consignee to open a box door of the home delivery box of the consignee so as to put the package into the box. In this manner, even if the consignor and the consignee are not at their homes, the home delivery carrier can unlock the home delivery boxes by using the memory cards to pick up the package from and put the package into the boxes.
