CONSTITUTION: The objective N,N'-bis[3-(3',4',5'-trimethoxybenzoyloxy)-propyl] homopiperazine of formula II is prepared by reacting 3,4,5-trimethoxybenzoic acid 3'-tosyloxy-propyl ester of formulaI. The starting compound of formulaI can be obtained by reacting 3,4,5,-trimethoxybenzoic acid with 3-chloropropanol, and reacting the resultant 3,4,5-trimethoxybenzoic acid 3'-hydroxypropyl ester with tosyl chloride.
EFFECT: The objective compound can be prepared in high purity and yield.
USE: It has an activity for increasing the oxygen-supplying capacity of erythrocyte as well as the coronary vessel dilating and coronary blood flow increasing activities.
