CONSTITUTION: Sea water is admitted into a crystallizing vessel 52 by using a sea water pump 62. On the other hand, the refrigerant liquefied through cooling and condensation by LNG cold latent heat with an LNG evaporator 51 is admitted therein by a refrigerant pump 60 and is directly contacted with the raw sea water. The sea water is cooled and produces cryohydrate 64. In addition, the refrigerant evaproates to gas which is then exhausted from a pipe 56 and enters the LNG evaporator 51 through a refrigerant gas inlet 57. Since heat transfer pipe parts 54 which perform heat exchanging of LNG and refrigerant gas are installed perpendicularly, the refrigerant flows down by constantly forming thin films under the heat transfer pipes. Hence, the phenomenon of decreasing heat exchange efficiency by freezing of the water content entrained in the refrigerant gas on the heat transfer pipes may be prevented.
