CONSTITUTION: A heat ray type air flow rate sensor 6 and a temp. compensating sensor 7 are arranged in the air flow passage provided to the body interposed to the suction pipe of an internal combustion engine. The membrane resistor 7A formed to a support plate 7D, the leads 7B connected to a pair of the respective electrodes of said resistor 7A and two support rods 7c fixed to the support plate 7D so as not to be brought into contact with the resistor 7A are provided to the sensor 7. A pair of the leads 7B are connected to the terminal parts of pair of leads 9 and a pair of the support rods 7C are connected to a pair of support rods 9A and the resistor 7A is made parallel to the direction of the air flow passing through a cylindrical body 2. By this method, the support of the sensor 7 is performed by four-point support using a pair of the leads 7B connected to the resistor 7A and a pair of the support rods 7C fixed to the support plate 7D.
