The surfaces of the expandable resin particles are coated with 0.01W1wt%, preferably 0.03W0.5wt% lubricant having ≤100°C melting point. The base material resin is obtained by polymerizing 20W100wt% single or mixed monomer of mono- or dialkylstyrene (α-alkylstyrene, etc.), mono- or dihalogenated styrene with 80W0wt% another polymerizable monomer. A high fatty acid ester, hardened animal oil, or hardened vegetable oil is preferable as the lubricant.
