CONSTITUTION: The objective agent contains dry distillation distillate of subtropical trees as an active component. The subtropical tree is preferably Cinnamomum camphora, Ficus benghalensis, Ryukyu pin, Laucaena glauca or Cinnamomum loureirii. The dry distillation of the tree can be carried out by crushing the tree, filling in a metallic retort or an oven made of stone or brick, etc., having the wood chip preventing the intrusion of air, cooling the distilled out fraction consisting of the decomposable component and volatile component of the wood and purifying the cooled product to obtain the active component. The active component is dissolved in water in the presence of a surfactant to obtain the objective plant-growth promoter. The content of the active component in the agent is preferably about 7W20%. The agent may be incorporated further with an enzyme such as papain.
