DO is measured by a DO meter 15 and the air discharge of an aeration blower 4 is controlled by the signal from the control panel 13 so as to attain the DO of the intended value in the case of controlling the DO. The sludge age is controlled by increasing or decreasing the discharge of an excess sludge pump 8 by the signal from the control panel 13.
