3 )
2 , etc., or CdO is added to the reaction solution on the basis of 100 wt parts of Ag present in the reaction product. The perferred amount of persulfate is 1 to 1.85 times as much as the theoretical reacting amount in the case of an aqueous solution concentraton of 0.04 to 0.72 mole/1, and also the preferred amount of alkali metal hydroxide is 1.05 to 6 times as much as the theoretical reacting amount in the case of an aqueous solution concentration of 0.3 to 4.8 mole/1. The reaction temperature is 0 to 80°C. The addition of Cd results in a new effect on the voltage stability of cell.
