CONSTITUTION: A first pipe connects between a condenser 3 and the delivery side of a compressor 1; a bypath circuit 12 connects between an evaporator 5 and the suction side of compressor 1; and a three-way valve 11 is arranged at the junction of the cirst pipe and the bypath circuit 12. The inlet 13 of the valve is connected to the delivery side of compressor 1, a first outlet 14 to evaporator 3, and a second outlet 15 to bypath circuit 12. The outlet 15 is closed in cooling operation; the outlet 14 is closed in heating operation. A first stop valve 16 arranged between the suction side of compressor 1 and evaporator 5 is opened in cooling operation and closed in heating operation. A second stop valve 17 is fitted in a bypath circuit 18, which connects between the suction side of compressor 1 and condenser 3, and opened in heating operation and closed in cooling operation.
