CONSTITUTION: The speed of a brushless motor 1 operated by drive currents in respective phases by an angle signal between the stator magnetic axis and the rotor magnetic axis as detected by a position detector 9 is controlled by electronically varying the phase of the angle signal. The output of the detector 9 is, for example, counted by an up-down counter 10, and added or subtracted in the amount instructed by addition and subtraction mode switching signal 12 and phase setting instruction 13 in the phase by a parallel adder/subtractor 11. The output of the adder/ subtractor 11 is converted into an analog angle information via a ROM storing the trigonometric function in advance and a DA converter 15 and multiplied by a torque instruction 17 to thus generate drive signals 18a, 18b of the respective phases in the motor 1.
