CONSTITUTION: A level detector 3 gives an output resulting from detecting a pilot signal (PL) being an input to a composite signal (Sc) to a lamp trigger circuit 7 via an LPF 5, the circuit 7 activates a lamp drive circuit 9 and closes a SW 25 simultaneously. A negative feedback loop from the output of the LPF 5 to a VCA 11, a cancel wave generating circuit 13 and an adder 19 is formed and the circuit 13 generates a cancel wave proportional to the PL. Thus, in the case of a signal without the PL resulting from the subtraction of the signal Sc by an adder 21 or the Sc signal without any PL at an Sc output terminal 23, the circuit 7 opens the SW 25 and the signal with the PL appears at an Sc output terminal 23. Thus, even when the other station is searched intermittently at a high speed, the deterioration in the S/N is improved.
