CONSTITUTION: When a reference signal is supplied from a reference signal input port 1, a step recovery diode 12 is driven for production of a pulse component. These produced pulse outputs are applied to the Schottoky diodes 13 and 14. At the same time, a microwave is supplied from an RF input port 2 and undergoes the double distribution with a phase difference π through the rat-race type power distributors 4∼7. These distributed microwaves are applied to the ports 1 and 2. Then the signals applied to both ports 4 and 6 are mixed with the signals applied to both diodes 13 and 14. Thus a phase comparison output signal is transmitted from a phase comparison output port 3. In such a way, a satisfactory phase comparison output signal is obtained with no use of a transformer.
