CONSTITUTION: On a quaywall 2 of island is built a main tower 1 of jib crane through a turn bearing mechanism 4. By this tower 1 is supported a main boom 5 to be swung vertically and horizontally. The main boom 5 is operated by wires 8, 9 and provided on the end with a hollow extensible boom 11 which is provided on the end with an air bag for floating and supporting about 2/3 of total weight of boom on the sea. Thus, when this bag is mounted onboard, large sway of ship is absorbed by the vertical movement of the boom 11 and small one by the expansion and contraction of the air bag 12 so that getting in and off of persons and loading on land can be carried out safely even in somewhat rough wheather to reduce investment to harbour facilities on a solitary island.
