CONSTITUTION: A cable stayed bridge is composed of a main tower 1, a plurality of diagonal members 5 suspended from the main tower 1, and a main girder 4 supported by the diagonal members 5. Then, the diagonal members 5 overhung from the one side of the main tower 1 are connected to the other side of the main girder 4, and the diagonal members 5 overhung from the other side of the main tower 1 are connected to the one side of the main girder 4. The diagonal members 5 are crossed together on the upper side of the main girder. As a result, the diagonal members are crossed at acute angles from the width direction, to suspend and support the main girder, and so an earthquake force working on the main girder is reduced.
