In connection with this motion, the vacuum valves V1WV9 are operated and perform the current-limiting switching at the time of tap changing. As the moving contact 79 of each valves are insulated with the rod 80, the shaft 92 may be made of metal. Thus making the good use of the characteristic that the vacuum valves can be individually operated, a very miniaturized phase regulating on-load tap changer can be obtained.
