CONSTITUTION: The solid catalyst is mixed with or deposited on the natural radioactive rare element ore which forms the ion pairs and free radicals. The arom. gas subjected to the irradiation with the α rays, β rays, γ rays, etc., radiated from the natural radioactive rare element ore induce the formation and excitation of the ion pairs and the excitation molecules dissociate to form the free radicals. The ions and free radicals are adsorbed to the surface of the solid catalyst and the arom. gas is completely oxidized to CO
2 and H
2 O or the arom. gas is denuatured to the non-arom. gas through an ion reaction, ion-molecule reaction, radical reaction, etc., on the surface of the solid catalyst. The initiation reaction of the activation energy of the chemical reaction effected on the surface of this solid catalyst is the ion reaction and radical reaction which are easily initiated. In addition, there is no need for heating for the purpose of the replenishment of the active energy.
